🛠️ Theyab Boss Combat & Animation Tweaks
In this patch, we have refined Theyab's combat mechanics to be much more polished, fair, and visually clear!
⚔️ Combat Logic Adjustments
- Realistic Attack Reach: Theyab's sweeping staff melee strikes are now strictly limited to a precise 3-block reach radius.
- Vision-Based Attacking: He will no longer blindly throw attacks! He will only trigger his deadly custom attack animations when he is actively facing you (within a realistic 60-degree vision cone).
- Smart Gap-Closing: If you try to run away (6+ blocks), he will immediately utilize his Enderman Teleport Ambush to close the distance.
- No More Invisible Hits: We fully disabled the default, silent zombie-style melee punches. He now only deals damage when he visually strikes you with his custom move-set!
🛡️ Animation & Sound Fixes
- Clearer Blocking: Fixed a visual glitch where his parry animation was triggering too fast to see. The shield-raise animation has been extended back to a weighty 0.5 seconds so you can easily react to his defensive stance.
- Hardcoded Attack Audio: Fixed an engine bug that prevented his custom attack sounds from playing. His
.oggattack sounds are now hard-wired directly into his Java combat engine, meaning the sound of his staff swinging will perfectly sync and trigger 100% of the time during his attacks. - Fixed Corrupted Animation File: Restored the inadvertently deleted block data inside his underlying GeckoLib configuration file, preventing animation crashes.
