2i Doll

2i Doll brings animated companions, personal stories and cinematic magic to Minecraft.

Created by 2i学习 for Minecraft 1.21.1, NeoForge and Java 21. Install the same JAR on both client and server.

Language: The included story dialogue is currently in Simplified Chinese.

Companions with personality

Meet 2i through survival gameplay: breaking leaves has a default 0.01% chance to award your companion, once per player per world. A full inventory safely preserves the pending reward.

Carry your doll in your hands, wear it on your head, or let it follow you as a living companion. 2i keeps its owner, memories and affection through item and entity changes. Blinking, weather reactions, umbrellas, expressive movement and an animated tail give it a life of its own.

The owner-only interaction screen includes conversation, gifts, head pats, six story chapters, chapter replays and an image gallery. Visit 2i's own starfield garden and return safely to your world.

Eighteen other bundled doll characters have survival crafting recipes, including Magua, Shuangshi, Qiaotou and Canmeng.

Three cinematic combat styles

Give the appropriate item to your companion to enable its combat abilities:

• 2i: a celestial staff, orbiting stars, a clock-bearing black hole, time stop and a reflective cosmic domain.
• Longhuan: a crimson spellbook, a watchful eye, dimensional portals and repeated tentacle strikes.
• XiaoXiao: a living Cangsheng axolotl mount and a dreamlike mountain guardian attack.

The axolotl can also be carried as a pocket pet, deployed as a titan and recalled with its flute.

Combat equipment retains its identity and ten-minute cooldown through recovery and rejoining. Players, allied creatures, pets and ordinary passive animals are protected. Longhuan's turn-based duel with Piston is included.

Standalone installation

The full companion system, stories, garden, equipment, combat, networking and saved data are included.

Useless Stretcher, Useless Mod, Curios and DollChronicle are optional integrations. Curios adds accessory-slot support. DollChronicle applies its own progression requirements when installed.

This JAR contains 19 internal mod IDs: the main mod and eighteen source-integrated companions. These are bundled content, not nineteen external dependencies. Do not install separate JARs for the same bundled characters.

Upgrading an existing world

Back up your world before upgrading.

Both lonya and lonya_plush have been removed. Worlds that need those characters should retain their old mod version and backup.

Old chuanshou items, display blocks and block entities migrate through registry aliases to chuanshuo, preserving ownership and valid saved components.

For an unconverted Useless Stretcher 2i, first recover its deployed entity using the old mod. Complete the item conversion and save while both mods are installed before removing the old mod.

Credits and licenses

Original code is MIT licensed. Asset licenses remain separate: adapted tail geometry is CC-BY-NC-SA-4.0; credited Kenney and Poly Haven assets are CC0. Owner-supplied artwork and third-party companion performance recordings retain their own rights and notices.
