TG/DS — circles
Record Telegram video notes ("circles") right from Minecraft and send them to any chat, channel or DM via your bot — or straight to a Discord webhook.
Clip a wither fight, a base tour or a friend falling into lava, and it lands in your group chat as a native round video note — without ever leaving the game.
How it works
- Press F8 — recording starts (square capture area, live timer, audio level meter).
- Press F8 again — the clip is encoded in the background.
- Pick a recipient — done. The circle arrives in Telegram as if recorded on a phone.
Send targets
| Target | Setup | Limit |
|---|---|---|
| Telegram bot | token from @BotFather | 12 MB per circle — handled automatically |
| Discord | webhook URL | 10 MB — handled automatically |
Features
- Movable capture area — drag the square anywhere in a visual editor, zoom 30–100%, optionally dim everything outside it (on your screen only — never in the video).
- Clean output — the mod's border is drawn strictly outside the captured pixels; your hotbar/HUD is captured like a normal recording.
- Oversize auto-fit — recordings over the Telegram/Discord limit are compressed or split into parts automatically; circles always stay round (max 60 s / 640 px per part).
- Audio — game sound (what you hear in game), or an experimental microphone mode with a real device picker (capture devices only — no speakers in the list) and an input volume slider (10–400%).
- Status your way — a compact multi-line corner indicator (any of 4 corners) or classic chat messages.
- Recipients manager — save chats, channels, DMs; "send again" in one click.
- Keep a copy — optionally archive sent circles to
screenshots/tgcircles/; an "Open videos folder" button in settings takes you right there. - Smooth gameplay — encoding runs entirely off-thread; frame conversion never blocks the render thread.
- 5 languages — English, Русский, Deutsch, Español, 简体中文.
Hotkeys (rebindable)
- F8 — start / stop recording
- F9 — settings
- F10 — cancel without sending
Requirements
- Fabric Loader 0.19.3+ and Fabric API
- Java 25+
- Client-side only — works on any server, including vanilla.
Privacy
The bot token and webhook URL are stored locally in config/tgcircles.json and are sent only to the official Telegram / Discord APIs. Nothing else leaves your machine.
The jar is ~106 MB: it bundles FFmpeg natives (video encoding) for Windows x64, Linux x64 and macOS.
