Terrafirmacraft addon that adds different types of weather events to tfc worlds. Weather systems are now localized and dynamic. They can forme and deforme with time. They can move by the wind and change speed. They are also dynamic inside meaning a system can have a high precipitation zone or multiple zones as well as less instense zones. Inside these zones all normal tfc values will be followed if the correct type of weather is occuring in that area. Such as barrel filling or fire burnout etc.
This mod also adds a new formula for snow accumulation in order to make winters more immersive and snow more challenging. The formula is the same as "TFC-deepsnowstack(accumulation for terrafirmacraft)" mod. So this mod will take deepsnowstack job and will make deepsnowstack not function.
This mod is in early development. So your suggestions, questions and issue reports are needed. Please use comment section in order to get in touch.
This mod needs "TerraFirmaCraft" mod in order to work.
Commands
All commands require operator permissions (level 2). Use /tfws or the full alias /tfcweathersystems.
<required> · [optional]
Coordinates use x y z. Without coordinates, information commands check your current position.
Check the Weather
| Command | Description |
|---|---|
/tfws weather status [x y z] |
An easy-to-read weather summary, including natural TFC precipitation, intensity, temperature, wind and fog. |
/tfws weather query [x y z] |
Detailed diagnostics: event ID, timing, movement, core strength, precipitation and climate values. |
/tfws weather region [x y z] |
Show the weather region coordinates. |
/tfws snowdepth [x y z] |
Inspect snow layers, the temperature-based depth limit and the snow column’s base. |
/tfws wind [x y z] |
Compare natural TFC wind with regional wind effects and terrain weighting. |
Control the Weather
| Command | Description |
|---|---|
/tfws weather start <type> [days] [radius] [speed] |
Create a weather front at your position. Omitted settings use the configured defaults. |
/tfws weather start <type> at <x y z> [days] [radius] [speed] |
Create a weather front at specific coordinates. |
/tfws weather stop |
Stop the main regional event affecting your position. |
/tfws weather stop at <x y z> |
Stop the main regional event at specific coordinates. |
/tfws weather stop <event_id> [at x y z] |
Stop a specific event using its ID. Coordinates provide location context when needed. |
/tfws weather clear local <radius> <days> [at x y z] |
Remove nearby forced events and temporarily prevent regional weather in the area. |
/tfws weather clear dimension |
Reset forced events, suppression zones and stopped-event records in the current dimension. |
/tfws weather clear all |
Reset those records across all dimensions. |
Units: duration is in TFC calendar days, radius in blocks, and speed in blocks per TFC day. Optional start settings must be entered in order.
Repeat clear dimension or clear all within 30 seconds to confirm. These resets do not disable natural TFC weather or future procedural events.
Admin Tools
| Command | Description |
|---|---|
/tfws weather debug on |
Enable live weather diagnostics for your player. |
/tfws weather debug off |
Disable live weather diagnostics. |
/tfws config validate |
Show the server configuration’s validation result and any warnings. |
/tfws data status |
Inspect saved-data version, weather records, caches and queued snow work. |

morning_fog
Example: /tfws weather start tfcweathersystems:disaster_rain 2 1280 384
Creates a disaster-rain front lasting two TFC days, with a 1,280-block major radius and a configured movement speed of 384 blocks per TFC day. Precipitation becomes snow where temperatures are cold enough.
