TFC Maritime Travelers

TFC addon that gives players tools to conquer the depths and far reaches of the world!

I wanted a few ocean-going 1700-1800s-style food prep/processing methods that could be used to make realistic TFC-esque steam power. Some features are running and testable, while others are in progress.

The grinder: converts meats and olives into their ground version. More recipes to follow.

The expeller press takes olive paste and extracts the oil, though it's less effective than traditional TFC oil processing.

The air compressor: stores compressed air and will someday allow players in a dive suit to explore the depths. Also will be the source of power for many air tools coming.

The single piston steam engine: a small rotation generator, similar to the windmill or water wheel. it is powered by placing it behind a boiler and linking the boiler with a copper rod. Add water and adjust the bleeder so it doesn't over-pressurize and explode. if the boiler gets too hot, it will melt the copper and no longer exchange heat to power the engine.

The Boiler: A cast-iron heat source that burns fuel for heat. heat temp is the average of the 3 fuel slots so burning stuff that isn't very hot with something like coal drags down the avg temp. Great for precision metal work or steam work.

Cast iron boiler tank: placed on top of the boiler, it holds water that can be heated into steam to run the large single piston engine and event he triple expansion engine at medium rpm.

TFC rotation rework: Blocks that produce rotation now have capacity; one engine cannot power infinite machines. More machines mean fewer rpm and eventual stalling. Some machines take more power than others.

Mechanical and pneumatic power hammers: much like a player with a hammer at an anvil, the power hammer can work recipes on an anvil. Add rotation and hold the hot item in your hand, and the hammer will strike to give you the output. So far, only double ingots to sheets and then steel and iron refining is added.

VS compatibility: The core function of this mod is realistic steam engines on boats. The boiler and boiler tank, combined with larger engines, will produce rpm. rpm can be controlled by Speed Telegraphs.

Speed telegraphs: there are two versions, one for tfc rotation input to tfc output and one for my engine input to create SU output. Both work the same. Link the placed telegraph output with the item input in hand, and then place the input to complete the link. The order given on the input will adjust the rpm accordingly.

Propulsion: TFC water wheels crafted with a cast iron shaft instead of wood will become a water paddle. Water paddles propel ships as they would irl. The copper and brass propellers work the same with different values. All propulsion is knots per ton and is configurable. The top speed of a vessel is at 30 knots, and the average is about 18.
