About this Mod

TFC Food Port is a standalone adaptation of the food system from TerraFirmaCraft (TFC), ported to Minecraft 26.1.2 (NeoForge). It brings TFC's iconic foods, seeds, and cheese chain into a more accessible, vanilla-friendly experience while keeping the core spirit of TFC's cooking.

This mod is not an official TerraFirmaCraft release. It is an independent fan-made port and is not affiliated with or endorsed by the original TFC team.

Differences from the Original TerraFirmaCraft

While TFC Food Port preserves many of TFC's foods and crafting concepts, it makes significant changes to adapt them for modern Minecraft and cross-mod compatibility:

• Simplified Food Stats: Only hunger and saturation are kept. Nutrition, decay, hydration, and other complex food mechanics are removed.

• Barrel Redesign: The TFC barrel is reimplemented as a no-GUI fluid tank with a capacity of 1000B (1,000,000 mB). Players can fill or drain fluids using buckets.

• Vanilla Farming: Seeds and crops are registered with vanilla farming mechanics. They only require farmland, water, and light to grow.

• Recipe Adaptations: Instead of TFC's custom crafting methods, recipes are provided for:

  • Vanilla crafting tables and furnaces (when no other mods are installed)

  • Farmer's Delight cooking pot and cutting board (when Farmer's Delight is present)

  • Kaleidoscope Cookery millstone and cooking pot (when Kaleidoscope Cookery is present)

• No Extra Animals: Only vanilla animals (cow, pig, sheep, chicken, rabbit) are used. All TFC-specific animals and their drops are removed.

• Cheese Chain Simplified: Rennet is dropped by vanilla cows/sheep. Raw cheese is made in a Farmer's Delight cooking pot. Aged cheese is obtained by smelting raw cheese in a furnace/smoker.

• Additional Content: This port adds optional festive content, such as Mid-Autumn Festival mooncakes and matching jams, as well as rare golden apple drops from apple trees.

• Common Tags: All recipes prioritize c namespace common tags, allowing ingredients from other agriculture mods to be used interchangeably.
