Tesslocator Reborn

Tiny connectors that move items, fluids and energy between blocks, wired through a single block or wireless across dimensions.
Tesslocator Reborn is a NeoForge 1.21.1 port of LatvianModder's old Tesslocator mod. Most of it has been rewritten along the way, and I added some new stuff on top.
What it does
A tesslocator is a small flat connector you stick on the side of a block. You can fit up to six of them in a single block space, one per side, and each one talks to whatever it's facing: a chest, a tank, a machine, a battery.
There are three kinds: item, fluid and energy. The colored dot in the middle tells you which one you're looking at.
Every tesslocator has a mode:
- Input: receives and pushes into the block
- Output: pulls from the block
- Input/Output: does both
Advanced tesslocators
The basic ones only connect to other tesslocators in the same block. The advanced ones are wireless: every advanced tesslocator on the same network is linked, anywhere in the world and in any dimension, as long as the chunks are loaded.
The network is set by two dye colors. Right click a placed tesslocator with a dye to set the first color, sneak + right click for the second, or put dyes above and below it in a crafting grid. Same colors, same network. You can also switch a network between private and public if you want to share iit with other players.
Filters
There are three filter items, with 9, 18 and 27 slots. Right click one to set it up, then click it into a tesslocator's filter slot. Each filter can:
- work as a whitelist or a blacklist
- ignore NBT (damage, enchantments, custom names)
- match by tag, so iron ingots from any mod count as iron ingots
If JEI is installed, you can drag items straight from it into the filter slots.
Filtered routes take priority over unfiltered ones.
Upgrades
Item and fluid tesslocators have two upgrade slots, one for speed and one for how much they move per operation. Basic and advanced tesslocators uses different upgrade items, the advanced ones being more expensive. Pack makers can change which items count as upgrades through tags, and adjust all speeds, limits and energy rates in the server config.
Modpacks
Feel free to use it in any modpack no need to ask.
Important Note
This mod was made with the help of AI tools. Every feature was tested in game by hand but I'd rather be upfront about how it was built. If that's not your thing, no hard feelings, just don't use it.
