Terrassic brings dinosaurs, primitive survival, and a lost expedition to Minecraft. Build your first camp, raise companions, and follow Dr. Katyusha’s trail through the Cretaceous.

The Leap

The Terrassic Project built a machine to observe the past. Dr. Katyusha stepped through and never returned.

You enter the chamber to find her. The machine fails.

Now you are stranded in the Late Cretaceous, with empty hands and her scattered notes as your only lead. Find shelter, learn what lives around you, and uncover what happened to the expedition.

Follow her trail toward the Leap Altar, or settle somewhere along the way. There is room to make a life here.

Meet the creatures

From Compsognathus hiding in the undergrowth to Argentinosaurus towering above the trees, Terrassic’s growing bestiary includes 59 creatures.

Encounter Tyrannosaurus, Triceratops, Spinosaurus, Giganotosaurus, Quetzalcoatlus, Mosasaurus, and many more.

• Raise the next generation. Find a breeding pair, care for their eggs, and be there when the hatchlings arrive.
• Find your companions. Tame creatures with different diets and temperaments, and bring them along on your travels.
• Travel by land, sky, and sea. Discover 32 rideable species, from swift runners to soaring pterosaurs and marine giants.
• Watch the wildlife. Herds gather, predators hunt, and rivers and seas have their own inhabitants.

Make a home in the Cretaceous

Explore 11 Cretaceous biomes, from forests and open plains to wetlands and the inland sea.

Search fossil sites, discover abandoned camps, and follow the expedition’s traces through the Arrival Crater and the River House. When a Rift Storm rolls in, your next journey might have to wait.

Build with over 500 blocks: limestone, prehistoric woods, thatch, wattle and daub, woven fibres, hides, and skull trophies. Start with a shelter and turn it into a camp worth coming back to.

Keep a Field Notebook

Dig up fossils, sketch creatures, and record what you discover.

Your Field Notebook grows with your knowledge of each species, helping you prepare for encounters and taming. Between its pages, Katyusha’s notes offer glimpses of the expedition that came before you.

Beyond the camp

Craft flint spears, bone clubs, and other primitive weapons. Prepare for dangerous animals, raid nests, and gather amber fragments to restore the Leap Altar.

A meteor ritual can summon the Rift Tyrant, Terrassic’s first boss. Bring companions—or other players—and come prepared.

Play your way

Adjust spawning, taming, damage, and other world rules from inside the game.

Available in English, Portuguese, and Spanish.

For Minecraft Java 1.20.1. Choose the Terrassic file that matches your loader.

The journey ahead

Development is focused on completing Echoes of the End, the first chapter.

Beyond the Late Cretaceous lie the Early Cretaceous, Jurassic, Triassic, and an Ice Age epilogue—new landscapes, creatures, and pieces of Katyusha’s story.
