About
RiverInJungle for Terralith is an add-on for Terralith that brings RiverInJungle's wide, winding jungle rivers to Terralith-generated worlds.
Instead of the small vanilla jungle streams, jungles gain broad, natural-looking rivers with gently sloping banks that blend into the surrounding terrain.
Requires Terralith (hard dependency).
Install on both the client and the server. Works in singleplayer out of the box.
Free to use in any modpack — public or private, no permission needed.
What it does
- Adds wide jungle rivers — generates long, winding rivers throughout jungle biomes.
- Designed for Terralith — works with Terralith's custom terrain generation instead of vanilla world generation.
- Natural riverbanks — shores gradually rise from the water instead of forming abrupt cliffs.
- Varied shoreline materials — riverbanks naturally mix sand, gravel, clay, grass, coarse dirt, rooted dirt, moss, and podzol.
- Lowland only — rivers generate in suitable low jungle areas without carving through mountain slopes.
- Seamless generation — rivers and banks continue smoothly across chunk borders without visible seams.
Requirements
RiverInJungle for Terralith requires Terralith and has no purpose without it.
On Fabric, Fabric API is also required.
For modpack makers
This add-on does not replace Terralith's terrain generation. Instead, it adds its rivers after the terrain has already been generated, allowing it to remain compatible with Terralith's custom landscapes.
The mod automatically applies its world generation to all jungle biomes provided by Terralith, with no configuration required.
There is currently no configuration file. Simply install the mod alongside Terralith and generate a new world (or explore previously ungenerated chunks).
