Description
TerrainForged
Realistic, geographically coherent world generation for Minecraft 1.21.11 — Fabric and Forge.
TerrainForged brings the classic TerraForged look to modern Minecraft. It is a derivative of
ReTerraForged (the continuation of TerraForged), both open source under the MIT License.
Their terrain algorithms were ported to 1.21.11 and extended with new features (listed below).

How TerrainForged differs from the originals
Runs on Minecraft 1.21.11 for both Fabric and Forge from one shared code base.
ReTerraForged's last releases are for 1.20.x, and TerraForged's are for older versions.
New loader-independent engine: the ReTerraForged generator was ported into a standalone engine and plugged into vanilla 1.21.11's world generation, so vanilla caves, aquifers, ores, structures and biomes keep working.
Mountain streams and waterfalls (new): streams run down hills and mountains into rivers, lakes and the sea, with rapids, pools and waterfalls. The originals only have rivers and lakes at sea level.
New default preset "TerrainForged": taller mountains, more hills and highlands, more rivers and lakes.
ReTerraForged's presets (Default, Beautiful, Huge Biomes, Lite, Vanilla-ish) are still included.
New Customize screen: sliders for every setting, presets you can save and delete, and a live map preview with Relief / Climate / Contour views, zoom, drag and a position read-out.
Choose your spawn point on the preview map, or press Random to get a spot on land near a river.
Tall world type (optional): "TerrainForged (Tall 2048)" with mountains up to around 900 blocks.
Faster chunk generation: terrain tiles are generated on several CPU cores.
Features
Continents and oceans: large landmasses separated by real oceans, with coasts, beaches and islands.
Mountain ranges: long connected chains with snowy peaks, plus volcanoes.
Varied terrain regions: plains, steppe, hills, dales, plateaus, badlands and torridonian highlands, blended smoothly.
Rivers, lakes and wetlands: branching river networks winding through valleys, lakes, and swamps along rivers.
Mountain streams and waterfalls flowing down into the rivers.
Erosion: simulated rainfall carves gullies and smooths slopes.
Natural surfaces: bare rock on steep cliffs, gravel scree, and snow that slides off slopes too steep to hold it.
Climate-driven biomes: temperature and moisture choose vanilla biomes, so biome mods that extend the overworld should work.
Vanilla caves, ores, structures, villages and mobs all keep working.
How to use
Create World → More → World Type → TerrainForged (optionally Customize).
Dedicated server: set level-type=terrainforged:terrainforged in server.properties before the world is created.
Requirements
Fabric: Fabric Loader 0.19.5+ and Fabric API
Forge: Forge 61.2+ for 1.21.11
Install on the server, or in single player. Installing on clients too is recommended (needed for the Customize screen).
Notes
Beta: please report bugs and performance issues.
Settings are saved into each world, so changing the config never alters existing worlds.
Start a new world after updating between major versions.
