Description

TerminalCraft brings programmable, bash-style computers into Minecraft.
Inspired by classic computer and automation mods, TerminalCraft takes a different approach: instead of writing Lua, you work from a familiar command-line shell. Create files, write scripts, connect peripherals, control redstone, communicate over network channels, and automate tasks directly from an in-game terminal.
The mod currently includes placeable terminals, programmable turtles, monitors, wireless modems, disk drives, floppy disks, and pocket terminals. Each computer has its own persistent virtual filesystem, complete with directories, files, command history, environment variables, and shell scripts that remain saved with the world.
The shell supports familiar commands and scripting features, including pipes, redirection, variables, conditionals, loops, command chaining, and executable scripts. Turtles can move, inspect blocks, dig, place items, and interact with the world, while monitors and modems allow computers to display information and communicate with one another.
TerminalCraft is being built as the computer control plane for larger technology-focused modpacks. The long-term goal is to provide a common programmable interface for storage systems, machines, factory networks, and automation from other mods—coordinating those systems without replacing what makes them unique.
Whether you want a pocket command line, a redstone controller, a network of communicating computers, or the foundation for a fully automated factory, TerminalCraft is designed to make the world feel programmable.
