Description

TARDIS Reimagined is a Minecraft Fabric mod that adds a fully functional, interactive TARDIS experience with a persistent interior, manual flight, configurable destinations, custom controls, sounds, crafting, multiplayer support, and more.

This project is designed to make the TARDIS feel like a real vehicle and living space rather than just a teleportation block. Most systems are physically integrated into the console and interior, giving the player a more immersive way to travel, control, and use the TARDIS.

This is the first public beta release, so some systems may still receive balancing, visual, and technical improvements in future updates.

Main Features

The mod currently includes a complete TARDIS exterior and interior system with:

  • A persistent private TARDIS interior
  • Fully functional exterior and interior doors
  • Manual TARDIS flight
  • Faster flight using CTRL
  • Vertical movement during flight
  • Materialization and dematerialization
  • Travel between dimensions
  • Coordinate-based destination selection
  • Surface, underground, and exact Y-level landing modes
  • Selectable TARDIS landing direction
  • Custom TARDIS console controls
  • TARDIS locking and unlocking with a key
  • Isomorphic access controls
  • Phone compartment functionality
  • Working TARDIS lamp system
  • Interior and exterior sound effects
  • Custom flight sounds
  • TARDIS interior ambience
  • Stattenheim Remote
  • Chameleon system
  • Multiplayer ownership and access handling
  • Custom crafting recipes
  • In-game TARDIS handbook
  • English and French language support

TARDIS Flight

The TARDIS can be flown manually instead of only selecting a destination and teleporting instantly.

During flight, players can move the TARDIS through the world and control its direction directly.

Flight includes:

  • Forward and backward movement
  • Left and right movement
  • Ascending and descending
  • High-speed flight using CTRL
  • Smooth camera movement
  • Collision checks
  • Landing detection
  • Dimension travel support

The flight system has been designed to remain fast while still feeling controllable and responsive.

Navigation and Coordinates

The TARDIS console includes a navigation interface that allows you to configure where the TARDIS should appear.

You can select:

  • X coordinate
  • Y coordinate
  • Z coordinate
  • Dimension
  • Landing height mode
  • Landing direction

Available height modes include:

Exact Y
The TARDIS attempts to land at the exact Y coordinate you selected.

Surface
The TARDIS searches for a safe position on the surface.

Underground
The TARDIS searches for a valid underground landing location.

You can also select which direction the TARDIS doors should face when it materializes.

Persistent Interior

Every TARDIS has its own persistent private interior.

The interior remains linked to its exterior and keeps its configuration, console, doors, and other systems between trips.

The interior door can also be moved. When relocated, the TARDIS can use the new door position as the player's arrival point when entering the interior.

Doors and Locking

Both the exterior and interior doors are fully interactive.

The TARDIS key can be used directly on the door to lock or unlock the TARDIS.

There is no need to insert the key into a visible keyhole.

The same system works from both:

  • Outside the TARDIS
  • Inside the TARDIS

Normal interaction with the door still opens and closes it.

Isomorphic Controls

The console includes an isomorphic access control system.

By default, other players are allowed to enter your TARDIS.

The isomorphic control can be enabled using a physical lever on the TARDIS console.

When enabled, access can be restricted so that unauthorized players cannot enter.

This makes the system useful for multiplayer servers where each player may own their own TARDIS.

TARDIS Handbook

The mod includes an in-game TARDIS handbook inspired by a field journal.

The handbook explains the major systems of the TARDIS, including:

  • Doors
  • Keys
  • Console controls
  • Navigation
  • Flight
  • Chameleon systems
  • Multiplayer access
  • Crafting recipes
  • General TARDIS operation

When holding the handbook, aiming at certain TARDIS controls can also display information about what that control does.

This removes the need to remember every lever and button manually.

Crafting

TARDIS Reimagined uses custom crafting recipes for its main items and systems.

Important TARDIS components are intentionally more expensive to craft than normal decorative blocks.

This includes items such as:

  • TARDIS exterior
  • TARDIS console
  • Interior door
  • TARDIS key
  • Stattenheim Remote
  • TARDIS lamp bulb
  • TARDIS handbook

Decorative wall blocks use much simpler recipes.

The recipes are standard Minecraft recipes and are intended to work with recipe-viewing mods such as JEI, REI, and EMI.

Sound Design

The TARDIS includes custom sound effects for several systems, including:

  • Dematerialization
  • Materialization
  • Flight
  • Interior ambience
  • Door opening
  • Door closing
  • Locking
  • Unlocking

The interior ambience is designed to remain present without overpowering the more important TARDIS sounds.

Multiplayer

The mod is designed with multiplayer in mind.

Each TARDIS can maintain its own identity, ownership, interior, and configuration.

Multiplayer systems currently include:

  • Individual TARDIS ownership
  • Persistent TARDIS identity
  • Player access control
  • Isomorphic restrictions
  • Interior/exterior synchronization
  • Dimension travel
  • Reconnection handling while inside the TARDIS

Languages

TARDIS Reimagined currently includes:

  • English
  • French

The mod automatically uses the language selected in Minecraft.

Important

TARDIS Reimagined is an unofficial fan-made Minecraft mod.

It is not affiliated with or endorsed by the BBC or Mojang Studios.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Minecraft : 26.2
