Ten rare pets hide in the world's structures. Find one, tame it and look after it, and it becomes your best friend.
New name, same pets: from version 1.3 the mod is called Tamacraft. Your worlds keep their pets, furniture and items.

Your first tamed pet brings you a Tama Pager for free. The Tamacon (book, pink dye and redstone) explains everything in the game.
Wild pets stay near their home and never despawn. Hold a Tamacraft Heart and they come closer.
Your pet is no decoration: it shows how it feels on the pet screen and in little bubbles over its head.
Pets also dance to jukeboxes, warm up at campfires, beg for cake, hide from thunder and play with each other.
Your pet carries your things, looks after you in a fight, and it never dies.
Your pets use their furniture on their own. The Running Wheel even gives a redstone signal while a pet runs in it.
Tamacraft feels at home in big modpacks like Dreamcraft, where it has its own quest chapter.

Requirements
- Minecraft 26.3, Fabric Loader 0.19.5 or newer and Fabric API.
- JEI and REI show every recipe, plus info pages on where to find each pet.
Multiplayer
- Install Tamacraft and Fabric API on the server and on every client, on the same Minecraft version.
Modpacks
- Feel free to include it. Pet homes are the structure tags tamacraft:pet_home/..., diets the item tags tamacraft:diet/meat, fish, plant, sweet and mineral.
FAQ
- Forge or NeoForge? No, Tamacraft is a Fabric mod.
- Why the new name? In 1.3 the mod got its own name, Tamacraft. Worlds from older versions load with all their pets, furniture and items; in data packs and modpack files the old ids still work too.
- Are the pets guaranteed? No. Each structure only has a chance to hold its pet, so explore more of them!
- What happens when my pet is defeated? It faints into a Tama Egg that keeps everything. Wake it up with the egg, or hatch it in a Pet Incubator.
