A Wolf Additions Mod

This mod introduces several custom enchantments to help enhance your wolf companion's on-attack combat abilities. Depending on the enchantments available in your companion's armor, it can trigger different effects and even powerful ones depending on the circumstances.

⚔️ Core Enchantment Additions

Benediction of the Verdant Mountains

As the name suggests, this enchantment provides both buff and defense.

When holding a tool or weapon with a [VW] mark, hold CTRL + Right Click to activate the buff. The buff provided depends on what tool you are holding — duration and amplifier are also increased when within the Verdant Biomes!

If your wolf companion has the enchantment, when your health drops below 30%, it will grant Blessing of the Verdant Wind (30 sec) and temporary immunity for 10 seconds. This buff also applies to your companion when you have the enchantment and their health drops below said threshold. The cooldown duration depends on your current game difficulty.

Wolf Armor Enhancement Kit

The vanilla wolf armor doesn't offer much beyond damage absorption. This enchantment fixes that by adjusting your companion's base attributes — max health, movement speed (land and water), knockback resistance, and more.

Wolf ATK Effect: Might

When your companion attacks, it grants itself Absorption and the custom Amplified Might effect for a short period, scalable by enchantment level.

At level 3 or higher:

Forcibly removes the Strength effect from the target
Deals an additional instance of damage when the target is below 50% health — damage scales based on distance. The cooldown duration depends on your current game difficulty.

🌿 Core World Additions

New Biomes

Verdant Mountains: A jagged peaks that is home to both the Sniffer and Wolves.

Verdant Forest: A dense, ancient woodland shrouded in a teal-green atmospheric haze that is more packed with wolf.

Both biomes are home to Verixium ore, verdant flora, and are where the Benediction of the Verdant Mountains enchantment and wolf companion mechanics reach their full potential.

New Items

A. Verixium Raw Materials

Obtaining the Verixium Ingot requires a bit of work. The full processing chain is:

Ore → Chunk → Condensed → Shard → Powder → Ingot

Mine Verixium Chunk Ore (exclusive to Verdant Biomes) to get chunks
Combine 4 chunks in a 2×2 grid to get Condensed Verixium
Put Condensed Verixium in a stonecutter to get a Verixium Shard
Blast the shard in a Blast Furnace for Verixium Powder + substantial XP
Place a Diamond in the center of a 3×3 grid surrounded by Verixium Powder to get the Verixium Ingot

B. Verixium Armor Set

Player armor — craft directly with Verixium Ingots, same pattern as diamond armor
Wolf Armor — obtain the vanilla Wolf Armor and a Verixium Armor Upgrade Template, then use a Smithing Table
Horse Armor — same process as the wolf armor, but start with Diamond Horse Armor instead

C. Verixium Tools & Weapons

Craft directly with Verixium Ingots using the same patterns as diamond tools and weapons.

New Mob Effects

Effect	Description
Blessing of the Verdant Wind	+20% max health, −20% burn time, +15% attack damage, heals every 3 sec
Amplified Might	Boosts armor toughness, knockback resistance, max absorption, and more
Bloodlust	Massive attack buff at the cost of constant self-damage and reduced armor protection
Paralyze	Drastically reduces all combat and movement attributes

Additional

Tooltips for item descriptions and lore have been added (with more to come).

⚙️ Configuration

Settings can be modified manually or through Mod Menu via the tales-of-the-verdant-wind.json file in your config folder.

📦 Dependencies

This mod requires TerraBlender and Cloth Config API to work.
