TailCraft-1.21.1-NeoForge-1.2.8
Curse Maven Snippet
What's new
Tailcraft 1.2.8 β Performance Update
For Minecraft Java 1.21.1, NeoForge 21.1.259+ for this exact Minecraft version, Java 21.
Optimized
- Greatly reduced CPU cost of tail and ear collisions, especially near walls, floors and ceilings with multiple cosmetic players nearby.
- Added conservative collision filtering: blocks and body parts that cannot touch the current tail or ear section are skipped before detailed surface tests.
- Cached joint rotations and thickness-dependent bend limits instead of recomputing them for every collision candidate.
- Reused collision buffers and temporary rotations, removing steady-state allocations from the measured inner collision solvers.
Preserved
- All 32 tail poses, customization, fur, gradients, accessories, follow lag and optional wagging.
- Smooth torso avoidance from 1.2.7, closed tail surfaces and the first-person cut cap.
- Predictive ear/block collision and tail/block/leg collision. Physics have not been disabled to obtain the improvement.
Performance measurement
A repeatable **Minecraft 1.21.1 / Java 21 benchmark simulated two moving players, including a Nanachi-style tail and ear setup. These figures measure collision calculations, **not whole-game FPS**, and will vary by hardware and scene.
