Taicraft──A Taiwanese Food Minecraft Mod
Taicraft is a mod that adds Taiwanese foods and other related stuff into the game.
Currently, this mod adds 6 new crops, 36 new foods, and 3 new drinks. You can find many classic Taiwanese foods in this mod, such as beef noodles, oyster vermicelli, pig blood cake, stinky tofu, and more!
This mod also introduces new cooking mechanics to the game, such as steaming and drink making, as well as new blocks like steamer, tank and beverage container. The new mechanics are shown below:
Steamer:
-works like furnaces
-can make steamed foods
-the list of all steamed foods are: steamed beef, steamed porkchop, steamed mutton, steamed chicken, steamed rabbit, steamed bread, steamed sweet potato, and bao
Tank:
-can store 1 bucket of any liquid by right clicking it with respective bucket items
-can put at most 6 items inside it by right clicking it with an item
-placing it one block higher on fire, lava, or campfire turns it into Cooking Mode
-under Cooking Mode, it turns water inside it into nigari in around 1 min
-you can make soy milk by putting 6 soybeans in a tank filled with water under Cooking Mode. This process takes about 1 min
-you can make brine by putting at least 3 brine ingredients in a tank filled with water. The list of all brine ingredients are raw beef, raw porkchop, raw mutton, raw chicken, raw rabbit, egg, fermented spider eye, brown mushroom, and red mushroom. This process takes about 10 min
-you can make tofu by putting at least 1 nigari in a tank filled with soy milk. The process takes about 30 sec and gives you 6 pieces of tofu
-it can turn tofu into stinky tofu by putting at least 1 tofu in a tank filled with brine. The process takes about 10 sec
-you can make tea by putting at least 3 tea bags in a tank filled with water under Cooking Mode. The process takes about 1 min.
-if it's filled with lava, it can burn items or entities inside it
Beverage Container:
-can store 1 bucket of water, soy milk, black tea, or milk tea by right clicking it with the respective bucket item
-right clicking it with glass bottles returns bottles filled with liquid, depending on the liquid inside it. 1 bucket equals 3 bottles
-you can make milk tea by right clicking it with a bucket of milk while having black tea inside it
All the foods and drinks can be made in survival mode. You can obtain new crops by trading with villagers or breaking grass for seeds(only works for rice).
You can craft a guidebook with a knife and a book. The guidebook contains every information of this mod.
