TaCZ: Realistic Scopes Overhaul
Compatibility Notice: Shaders and shaderpacks (Oculus / Iris) are currently incompatible with dual-render PiP optics. Performance mods like Embeddium and ImmediatelyFast are fully supported and recommended.
Ever noticed how aiming down a sniper scope in Minecraft zooms in your entire screen like binoculars glued to your eyes?
TaCZ: Realistic Scopes Overhaul completely transforms how optics work in Timeless and Classics Zero (TaCZ).
Instead of warping your entire field of view, magnification is strictly confined inside the optic's glass lens. Your peripheral vision stays completely untouched. Point the scope at a target, and only what is inside the reticle actually zooms in — exactly like modern military optics in Escape from Tarkov, Insurgency, and Squad.

Features
- True Picture-in-Picture (PiP) Dual-Rendering: Magnification renders strictly inside the scope lens while maintaining full 32-chunk peripheral view around the weapon.
- Narrow-Frustum Culling: Engine automatically prunes 85%–90% of off-screen and rear chunks during the optic pass, delivering high frame rates without visual background fog.
- In-Game Configuration GUI: Fully interactive visual menu to configure eye-relief, optic scaling, zoom bounds, and LPVO steps in real time.
- Smooth LPVO Variable Magnification: Dial through magnification levels seamlessly using the mouse wheel while aiming down sights.
- 1024x1024 Crystal-Clear Resolution: Native supersampled optic render target ensures sharp reticles and crisp long-distance targets.
- Zero Pack Patching Required: Drop-in compatibility with all existing and future TaCZ gun packs.
- 1x Red Dot Auto-Bypass: Non-magnified reflex and collimator sights skip dual-rendering completely to preserve maximum performance.
