TacZ Armor is a NeoForge 1.21.1 add-on for Timeless and Classics Guns: Zero that adds tactical military-style armor sets with bullet resistance designed specifically for TacZ combat.

It is made for players and servers that want more modern armor progression, plate carrier-style protection, and gear that feels closer to tactical survival or military-themed gameplay.

Armor Tiers

TacZ Armor includes three armor tiers inspired by real-world armor progression and Minecraft material tiers.

Soft Tactical Armor

A lighter tactical clothing set with basic ballistic protection.

This tier is intended as early tactical gear. It offers modest bullet resistance while staying cheaper to craft and easier to replace.

Rifle Plate Armor

A stronger plate carrier set intended for mid-tier combat.

This tier gives better protection against rifle fire and serves as the main practical armor set for TacZ firefights.

Heavy Plate Armor

A high-end tactical armor set with the strongest protection.

This tier is built around netherite-level durability and heavier plate protection, making it the best option for dangerous gunfights and late-game survival.

TacZ Bullet Resistance

TacZ Armor uses TacZ’s gun hit event and bullet damage types to apply resistance during gun combat.

How it works:

• Headshots use the helmet’s bullet resistance
• Normal TacZ shots use the chest piece’s bullet resistance
• The hit armor piece takes durability damage
• Armor-piercing TacZ bullet damage is still recognized by the mod

This makes armor behavior feel closer to plate-based protection instead of a simple full-set stat bonus.

Durability Scaling

Armor durability is based on the matching pickaxe material tier.

For example, the Heavy Plate helmet uses netherite pickaxe durability as its base value. Other armor pieces scale from that value using Minecraft’s normal armor slot proportions, so helmets still break faster than chestplates or leggings.

This keeps the armor progression familiar while making the tactical sets feel sturdy enough for gun combat.

Crafting

Each armor tier can be crafted in survival.

Soft Tactical Armor uses leather and iron as the starter tactical set. Rifle Plate Armor upgrades from Soft Tactical gear with stronger materials. Heavy Plate Armor upgrades from Rifle Plate gear with netherite-based materials.

Compatibility Notes

TacZ Armor is designed specifically around TacZ gun damage and TacZ’s bullet hit behavior.

It may still provide limited fallback behavior for other bullet-like damage sources, but the intended and supported use case is TacZ combat.

Status

TacZ Armor is in early development. Balance values, recipes, textures, and armor visuals may change as the mod is tested in real TacZ survival and server combat.
