What's new
Synavyr 0.1.11 - Long Life Chain Update
This is an alpha/experimental build focused on making Dweller NPCs feel less like random actors and more like survival players with longer goals.
Added / Improved:
- Added agriculture and food-chain behavior.
- Dwellers can now look for seeds, prepare small farmland, plant crops, harvest mature crops, replant, and use wheat to make bread.
- Added real furnace workflow.
- Dwellers now look for or place a furnace, walk to it, insert input and fuel, wait, then return to collect output.
- Iron ingots no longer appear instantly from raw iron and coal; they now require the furnace workflow.
- Added support for smelting iron, baked potatoes, cooked meats, cooked fish, charcoal, and glass.
- Added staged home beautification.
- Early homes stay rough, then gradually gain paths, fences, torches, barrels, flowers, campfires, slabs, stairs, and personality-based details.
- Builders, organizers, miners, explorers, redstoners, zen dwellers, and prankster-like dwellers now decorate differently.
- Improved combat resupply and ally support.
- Nearby allies can hand over food, arrows, shields, or spare weapons to injured or under-equipped dwellers.
- Combat eating now actually consumes food.
- High-threat fights can trigger retreat plus resupply instead of standing still and dying.
- Improved resource chains for bread, baked potatoes, glass, stairs, trapdoors, doors, hoes, furnace usage, and food preparation.
- Added 65 new localized life/combat/base/furnace lines.
Known Issues / Current State:
- This mod is still unstable alpha content.
- Farming is functional but not yet a full farm-planning AI; irrigation, field expansion, crop rotation, and long-term farm ownership still need work.
- Furnace behavior now uses real furnace blocks and waiting logic, but it is not yet a full visible GUI-style furnace management simulation.
- Combat is stronger than before, but still not fully human-level PvP. More work is needed for advanced cover swapping, post-battle cleanup, repairing gear, looting, and group focus-fire.
- Some NPC pathing or queued actions may still look awkward in dense terrain or modded worlds.
- Existing worlds may still contain older rough placements from previous versions; the new behaviors become clearer over time.
