Synavyr

Player-like NPC dwellers, silent visitors, social memory, rituals, and eerie survival ambience for single-player worlds.

Synavyr is a Fabric 1.20.1 mod that makes single-player worlds feel quietly populated.

It adds player-like NPC dwellers with names, skins, personalities, homes, routines, social memory, local chat, visible speech bubbles, and small survival behaviors. Some dwellers build, mine, organize storage, explore, fish, prank each other, react to danger, leave notes, and slowly form a living settlement around the player.

The mod also adds silent Guests, rare Veteran players, clerics, remains, memorials, message boards, rituals, seasonal behavior, community events, and subtle social rules that are meant to be discovered by observation instead of quest markers.

Core features:
- Player-like NPC dwellers with personality-driven AI.
- NPC conversations in local chat and overhead bubbles.
- Visible building, gifting, storage, note, and prank actions.
- Guest entities with eerie non-hostile ritual behavior.
- Veteran warning behavior and cleric revival-related systems.
- Memorials, message boards, social memory, and world events.
- Seasonal behavior with Serene Seasons compatibility when available.
- Optional compatibility hooks for SMFS.
- In-game QA command: /notalone qa

Current status:
- This is an early playable release for Minecraft Fabric 1.20.1.
- The jar builds successfully and the metadata author is Niwi7yming4.
- The first QA pass focused on balance, pathing, visible NPC actions, TPS diagnostics, compatibility status checks, animation cues, and first-player-experience signals.
- Many design-book systems are implemented, including dwellers, Guests, Veterans, clerics, message boards, memorials, social memory, rituals, seasons, and community events.

Known limitations and things still being improved:
- This is not yet a final 100% polished public release.
- Long-duration real gameplay stress testing is still needed, especially with many NPCs loaded at once.
- NPC intelligence is intentionally simulation-like and still imperfect; some building, combat, and pathing behavior may look awkward.
- Some systems are deliberately quiet and may take in-game time to appear, so the first few minutes may not show everything.
- Compatibility with large modpacks may vary. Fabric API is required; Serene Seasons and SMFS are optional.
- Balance values such as NPC density, event frequency, and building activity may change after more playtesting.
- If performance feels strange, use /notalone qa to check nearby NPC count, pending visible actions, path requests, and scheduler timing.

Recommended setup:
- Minecraft 1.20.1
- Fabric Loader
- Fabric API

Optional:
- Serene Seasons for external season syncing.
- SMFS for ghost-presence and sanity-related compatibility hooks.

Synavyr is designed for atmospheric single-player survival. It does not add quests, factions, or RPG progression. The goal is to make the world feel like other players were already there, are still around, and have their own quiet rules.
