Description
Equivalent exchange is long gone. Now comes a new mod to transmutate your items, and in a unique way!
Quick Note: This mod is FULLY COMPATIBLE with any other mod.
The idea behind the mod is simple. Say you want to create a diamond. The symbols to needed for you to create that would be:
D I A M O N D
To get those symbols, you could take them from other items, like so:
D, taken from dirt. I, taken from dirt. A, taken from apple. M, taken from milk. O, taken from iron ore. N, taken from iron ore. D, taken from another dirt.
In other words, you can separate any item into its symbols, then use those symbols to spell out another item's name. To better understand this, take a look at this imgur page, which shows the mod off quite nicely.
There are only four crafting recipes in this mod. The recipes are shown on the imgur page, but they will be listed here as well.
To get started in this mod, first, create two Symcons. Symcons at the moment are simply crafting components.

Next, you'll want to create a Defusion Table. Defusion Tables are blocks powered by lapis lazuli that allow you to transform an item into it's symbols.
They suck blocks placed on top of them into their inventory to be automatically converted. You can use this to create machines and generate symbols!
They can also create new symbols for free by surrounding them with Symcon Bookshelves, as shown later.

Finally, you'll want to create an Infusion Table. Infusion Tables allow you to take symbols and use them to spell out any item you want.

In total, to get started with the Symcon mod, you will need:
2 Books, 3 Obsidian, 4 Nether Stars, 4 Emeralds, 4 Glowstone Dust and 17 Lapis Lazuli Blocks
This mod is intended to be late-game, when you can start mass producing items, and in turn, symbols.
Thank you for reading! I really appreciate the attention! Currently, Symcon is in Alpha, so please If you have any questions or bug reports, feel free to leave a comment!
In-depth explanation of items, blocks, and mechanics
Symbol
Created in a Defusion Table.
Only use is to create items in the Infusion Table.

Simply a crafting component at this time, but will be used for more later down the line.
Cannot be created by spelling it's name in an Infusion Table.

Must be broken with a Diamond Pickaxe in order to get the block back.
Every tick, it checks for a block on top of it. If the block matches the type of item already inside of it's inventory, or if the inventory is empty, it will destroy the block and place it in, then will try to convert it.
Defusion Tables cannot destroy bedrock.
When an item is placed into the top-left slot, it checks the length of the item's name. Then, if there is lapis equal to the length of the item's name, it will subtract that amount and convert the item into symbols.
Every tick, it has a 1/1800 chance of generating a random block position and checking if the block at that position is a Symcon Bookshelf.
If it succeeds, a randomly generated Symbol is placed in its inventory and purple particles will spawn.
If it fails, a particle spawns on the block that it checked, showing where a Symcon Bookshelf needs to be placed to maximize efficiency.
A perfect Symcon Bookshelf formation is shown here: https://imgur.com/VukELgu https://imgur.com/R5dOKXS
A hopper placed underneath a Defusion Table will only suck out Symbols, and will not effect any lapis or the input item.
A hopper placed to the side of a Defusion Table can input items into either the lapis slot or the item input slot. It will prioritize placing lapis in first.
A hopper placed above a Defusion Table has the same functionality as ones to the side of a Defusion Table, but be wary of the Defusion Table's ability to destroy blocks on top of it.

Must be broken with a Diamond Pickaxe in order to get the block back.
When a Symbol is placed into it's inventory, it checks for any items in the forge registry whose names match up with what the current symbols spell out. If it matches, it creates a copy of the item in the output slot.
If the item in the output slot is taken away, it clears the inventory.
Each slot in the inventory can only hold 1 item.
If all the Symbols are different, the inventory is completely full, and the Symbols currently don't spell any item in the forge registry, it will instead create a Symbol Group in the output slot. (https://imgur.com/J8a2CQU)
Cannot create any item with the word "symcon" in it's name.
Cannot create any item with the words "command block" in it's name.
Cannot create Bedrock.
Cannot create Symbol Groups by spelling out it's name.

Currently just a crafting component, may have functionalities of it's own later. (Leave a comment if you have an idea for it, I'm open to suggestions)
Cannot be created in an Infusion Table by spelling out its name.

When broken, will only drop 2 Symcons, instead of dropping a Symcon Bookshelf.
When placed around a Defusion Table, has a chance of giving that Defusion Table's inventory another Symbol. See the Defusion Table section for more info.
