How to Use

1. Place your Swedish Torch.
2. Right-click it to open its interface.
3. Add fuel to the fuel slot.
4. Use Flint and Steel to ignite it.
5. Enjoy your protected area!

Keep an eye on the remaining burn time and refill it before the fire goes out.

Crafting Recipe

Craft your own Swedish Torch using:

• 8 Logs
• 1 Block of Coal

Any vanilla log type can be used.

A Swedish Fire for Your World

• A custom wooden fire with its own textures and animated flames.
• Emits light while burning.
• Can be ignited manually using Flint and Steel.
• Produces fire particles, smoke and crackling sounds.
• Rain and water do not extinguish it.

Cooking

The Swedish Torch can also cook food using vanilla smoker recipes.

It has dedicated input, fuel and output slots, with a cooking progress indicator.

Fuel System

The Swedish Torch uses vanilla furnace fuels, but makes them last 10 times longer!

• Coal, charcoal, wood and other vanilla furnace fuels can be used.
• Fuel can be added through its own inventory interface.
• Remaining burn time is displayed in the GUI.
• When the fuel runs out, the fire goes out and mob protection ends.
• Add more fuel and ignite it again!

Protected Area Visualization

Want to see exactly where your protection ends?

Open the Swedish Torch interface and toggle the Border display.

• Visual flame particles outline the protected cylinder.
• The border can be switched on or off.
• The visualization is client-side, so each player controls their own display.

Keep Hostile Mobs Away

While lit, the Swedish Torch prevents hostile mobs from spawning naturally inside its protected area.

A few important details:

• Only natural hostile mob spawning is prevented.
• Monster spawners and spawn eggs still work normally.
• Existing mobs are not affected.
• Multiple Swedish Torches can protect different areas independently.
• Works in the Overworld, Nether and End.
