Simple Vanilla Utilities: Inventory Sort
A lightweight inventory and storage sorting mod for Minecraft Java Edition 1.21.1. Part of the Simple Vanilla Utilities (SVU) series.
Features
- Press R or click the S button to sort the current inventory or storage.
- Shift+R sorts your player inventory while a supported storage screen is open.
- Keep your hotbar unchanged, with vertical sorting that places matching items directly above their hotbar slots. Tools of the same type can share a column even when their materials differ.
- Choose item ID order, name order, or tools-first sorting for your inventory.
- Chests default to rows grouped by item type: the first non-empty stack in each row defines that row's item type. Reserved rows keep their type, so later items do not fill gaps belonging to another type.
- Item counts and components, including durability, custom names and enchantments, are preserved. Items with different components are not merged.
Supported screens
Normal player inventory and vanilla chests, barrels and shulker boxes. Creative mode, spectator mode and unknown modded containers are not supported.
Installation
- Minecraft 1.21.1 / Java 21
- Download the file for your loader: Fabric, Forge, or NeoForge. Do not install multiple loader builds together.
- Fabric: Fabric Loader 0.16.10 or later and Fabric API are required.
- Forge: Forge 52.1.0 or later in the 52.x series.
- NeoForge: NeoForge 21.1.255 or later in the 21.1.x series.
- Install this mod on both the client and server for multiplayer. Use the same loader and mod version on both sides.
Alpha status
Version 0.1.0-alpha.5 is an Alpha build. Build and automated inventory-conservation tests have passed; in-game testing is still needed.

- Rキー／Sボタンで整理。収納画面でのShift+Rはプレイヤー側を整理します。
- ホットバーを変更せず、対応アイテムをホットバーの真上へ縦整理できます。同種のツールは材質が違っても対応します。
- 名前順・ID順・ツール優先の並び替えに対応。
- チェストは種類別の横行整理が初期設定。各行の最初のアイテムを種類の基準にして、別種類のために確保した行へ他の種類が入り込まないように整理します。
- 個数、耐久、名前、エンチャント等の情報を維持します。
通常インベントリ、バニラのチェスト・樽・シュルカーボックスに対応。Minecraft 1.21.1／Java 21向けです。ローダーに合うJARを選び、マルチではクライアントとサーバーの両方へ同じ版を導入してください。Fabric版のみFabric APIが必要です。
現在はAlpha版で、ゲーム内動作の確認はまだ完了していません。
