What's new

SVR Quests 0.2.0

New

  • The tracker follows your current quest by itself. A quest that has just started is followed at once; otherwise the first quest still in progress. The journal opens on the quest you are following, in its chapter. Stop following a quest and the list comes back until a new quest begins. Can be turned off in the settings ("Auto-focus current quest").
  • Next quests. A quest can name the quests that start the moment it is finished ("next", or "Next quests" in the editor), so a chain plays on without a conversation or command in between.
  • Objectives can set things off. Each objective has its own events and rewards, fired once when it is reached: open a conversation, start a quest, start a random quest, or hand over a reward mid-quest.
  • New event: Start a random quest. Picks one quest from a list among those the player can take right now.
  • NBT on item checks. Collect, use item, deal/take damage (weapon/equipment), "has item", give/take item and item rewards accept "nbt": the item's data components as SNBT, matched like /clear (what you write must be there; anything else on the item is ignored). The editor's Detect button reads it straight off the item in your hand.
  • Picture icons. A quest icon can be an item or any .png texture, as in FTB Quests.
  • Pickers with previews. The item picker shows each item's icon and name (search by name or id) with a large preview; the new picture picker lists every texture in your resource packs with a preview and its size. NPC texture fields can use it too.

Notes

  • A damage objective with "nbt" counts from when the objective is reached (the lifetime option does not apply to it).
  • Saves from 0.1.0 load unchanged.
