THIS IS THE LEGACY VERSION OF THE MOD, FUTURE UPDATES WILL BE ON MODRINTH
Surface Level or SL for short, is a mod that makes it harder to mine .
This mod has MAJOR impact on the progression of minecraft, specifically the mining part !
Features
This mod add three hard blocks that can't be mined with a pickaxe
[Hardstone, Hardslate, and Hardrack]
[Hard stones actively generate inside big groups of normal stone]
Hardstones will generate in caves, making very difficult to mine without using explosions
[This means caves will be your main source of mining]
[This also makes getting deeper ores more difficult]
Another block that's added is the Great TNT
[The Great TNT is a upgraded version of the normal TNT that has a massive explosion radius]
[Be warned, the Great TNT is unstable and will explode with any interaction after being placed]
New items were added aswell
[Chisel is made with copper, gold, and a amethyst shard]
[Hammer is made with copper and a stick]
[Using these two items together allow you to turn Hardstones into regular stones, at the cost of some durability]
[The Chisel can crack 64 Netherrack, 7 Stones, and 3 Deepslate, respectively]
Note
[Granite, Andesite, Diorite, and other stones are not affected by SL so feel free to mine them]
[The Great TNT recipe is added to your recipe book once you pick up gunpowder]
[Great TNT is barely more expensive than a normal TNT but the explosion is a lot bigger, I highly recommend laying down a long line of redstone before hand]
Technical Notes
[99% generation of Hardstones happens when nearby blocks are placed or broken, NOT during world generation]
[Only a small amount of Hardstones naturally generate to appear on the surface/walls of caves]
[Ore generations are not buffed]
