Summoning Altar
Summoning Altar adds one block: the Altar. You place items in it, trigger it with a catalyst item, and it summons entities, spawns items, or runs commands. Every ritual is defined in a JSON recipe file, so you can add or change rituals without touching any code.
This mod is inspired by AlmostReliable's Summoning Rituals. It's built natively for Forge with no other mods required.
How it works
- Right-click the altar holding an item to place it inside. The altar holds up to 8 items.
- Right-click holding the recipe's catalyst item. If all the required items are in the altar and any conditions are met, the ritual starts and the catalyst is consumed.
- The ritual runs for a set amount of time. The altar can't be used again until it finishes.
- When it finishes, the required items are consumed and the ritual's results happen (entities spawn, items spawn, commands run).
- If you want an item back before triggering anything, shift + right-click the altar with an empty hand. This removes the most recently inserted item.
