Suitcase Dimension 1.3
New
- Reset your pocket: run
/suitcaseDimension reset, then click [Confirm reset] within 30 seconds. Everything in your pocket is deleted, and players inside are sent out through their suitcase. The next time someone enters, the pocket starts fresh, like a brand-new pocket, with the starting island chosen in the config. - Choose the starting island of new pockets:
- the classic island;
- a small 3×3 grass island;
- your own build: a
.nbt(structure block, Create),.schem(WorldEdit / FAWE) or.litematic(Litematica) file, placed inconfig/suitcase_dimension/.
- Per-world settings:
- the settings in the main menu are the defaults for new worlds;
- each world has its own settings, in
<world>/serverconfig/; - a “Suitcase Dimension...” button in the “More” tab of the world creation screen lets you pick them for the world you’re creating;
- settings can be changed without restarting, or with
/suitcaseDimension config ....
suitcasesInPocketsoption: prevents opening suitcases and secret blocks inside a pocket.pauseEmptyPocketsoption: an empty pocket pauses. Everything resumes where it left off when someone comes back.- Opening and closing animation for suitcase lids, like a chest.
- Broken Key: a stolen key whose time has run out becomes a Broken Key. When crafted, it becomes the key of whoever crafts it.
- Pocket access from other mods (Waystones, /home, scrolls...):
- to teleport into another player’s pocket, you need to carry their Suitcase Key;
- the owner and admins can always get in;
- with Waystones, a waystone in someone else’s pocket is greyed out if you don’t have their key, and a key icon shows whether you can go there.
Changes
- Leaving a pocket:
- you always come out through the suitcase you entered by, wherever it is: placed, on the ground, in a player’s inventory, with a player who logged out, in a chest, or on a Create Aeronautics / Sable ship;
- if it was destroyed, you come out at its last known location;
- arrival is always safe (no lava, walls or void), with 5 s of Slow Falling and Fire Resistance.
- Expulsions:
- suitcase locked by its owner → everyone who entered through it is sent out;
- suitcase broken → nobody is sent out;
- theft timer runs out → everyone is sent out except the owner;
- secret block broken or locked → everyone is sent out except the player who placed it;
- this also works for pockets inside pockets, and for players who are offline: they’re sent out when they log back in.
- Locking: a suitcase or secret block can only be locked when it is closed.
- Theft:
- the timer starts as soon as another player has the suitcase or key in their inventory, or breaks the placed suitcase;
- it keeps running everywhere: chests, the ground, Shulker boxes;
- once it runs out, the suitcase becomes a Broken Suitcase, to be crafted again.
- Master Key: it can now only unlock. It only uses up one of its 4 uses when it actually unlocks something.
- Pocket Grimoire: it is now the only way to set the player and animal spawn points. The bone, the lead and the
setPlayerEntry/setMobEntrycommands have been removed. - Secret Barrel: vanilla texture, and you enter it by sneaking on top of it, like the other secret blocks.
- Hostile mob capture: enabled by default.
- Creative tab: now uses a brown suitcase as its icon.
- Removed commands:
spawnIslandandallowRecursion, replaced by the options above. They were never saved.
Fixes
- The “experimental settings” warning no longer shows up when opening worlds.
- Leaving another player’s suitcase sometimes put you on that player instead of the suitcase (suitcase placed in creative or picked with middle-click).
- Holding a stolen item made your hand bob every second.
- Suitcase lids turned black next to a block, and the bottom of a closed suitcase had an extra shadow.
- Breaking the Master Key showed purple and black particles.
Performance
- Pockets are only loaded when needed. Before, every pocket ever created was loaded when the server started.
- No block from the mod runs constantly on the server anymore. Suitcases are only tracked when something happens.
- The mod file is much smaller.
Updating from 1.2
- Your old settings are kept automatically.
- Existing worlds get the default settings the first time they’re opened in 1.3.
This mod has no additional files
