In vanilla, opening one End City chest means travelling to the End first. This mod turns each structure's loot chest into an item. Right-click it and a chest GUI opens, filled on the spot with items rolled from that structure's original vanilla loot table — a Woodland Mansion chest gives Woodland Mansion loot, a Nether Fortress chest gives Nether Fortress loot. Nothing more, nothing less. Chests are item-only and never get placed in the world, so they can't disturb world generation. Opening a chest consumes one (creative mode excluded) — one chest, one roll, and you can always craft more. Features
- 26 items, covering every vanilla structure that has a loot chest in 1.20.1
- Right-click to open; contents are rolled live from the vanilla loot table (minecraft:chests/**) — the exact same output as looting the real chest in the structure
- Every chest is craftable: one chest in the centre, 8 of that structure's signature blocks around it
- Textures are recoloured from the vanilla chest texture's own pixels, one distinct colour per structure
- Dedicated creative tab ("Structure Loot Chests"); tooltips show which loot table a chest uses
- Consumed on open (creative mode excluded); configurable to allow unlimited re-opening
- If a datapack or another mod changes the vanilla loot tables, chest contents follow automatically — anything injected into vanilla structure tables via Global Loot Modifiers is obtainable here too
How to use
- Craft it: 1 chest in the centre of a crafting table, 8 signature blocks around it (see table); or grab it from the "Structure Loot Chests" creative tab, or run /give @s structurelootchests:woodland_mansion_loot_chest
- Right-click the chest item → a 9×6 chest GUI opens with freshly rolled loot
- Take what you want; anything left behind is discarded when you close the GUI — the chest has already been consumed, so take everything
The mod only reads vanilla loot tables. It does not modify any vanilla content, registers no blocks and takes no vanilla IDs, so conflicts are essentially impossible.
