What's new

Street Trade becomes a trade in six products: mushrooms, cocaine, crystal and pills join weed and hash, each on its own chain of stations, bought from its own supplier and sold to the customers who want it. Regulars can be hired as dealers.

Added

  • Six products, one market. Every customer now has their own taste, rolled per product: weed for three in five, hash for three in ten, mushrooms and pills for a quarter, cocaine for one in seven, crystal for one in eight - and their own price for each, fixed for life. The harder the drug, the more it pays and the more it costs: a bag of cocaine goes for $60-100 but heats the village three times as fast as a bag of weed and is fined four times as hard. Customers from before this version keep what they smoked at the price they paid, and pick up tastes for the new products once
  • Mushrooms. A grow box filled with a substrate bag and inoculated with a spore syringe grows only in the dark - light 7 or less - through mycelium and pins to ripe mushrooms, twice before the substrate is spent, three to five a flush. A dehydrator dries them gram for gram in four Minecraft hours, and the scale bags them
  • Cocaine. The coca shrub is picked, not cut: a right-click takes three to five leaves and the shrub grows back. Eight leaves and half a canister of solvent soak in the extraction barrel for six hours into a lump of paste; on the chemistry bench paste and a reagent make three grams, and the scale bags them
  • The lab: crystal and pills. The chemistry bench also turns two drums of precursor and a reagent into a tray of crystal mix, and precursor and solvent into pill powder. The lab oven bakes up to four trays into sheets in three hours; a sheet and the breaking hammer give eight grams in the crafting grid. The hand-cranked pill press makes three pills from a portion of powder and a charge of binder. Bench and oven only work under a roof - the concept's "a chain of stations that needs a building" - and an oven lit without a fume hood close by heats the nearest village within 96 blocks. Everything in the lab is a black box with made-up ingredients
  • Four suppliers, who know each other. The farmer is joined by the forager (spores and substrate), the smuggler (coca seeds, solvent, reagent) and the chemist (precursor, reagent, solvent, binder, hammers), each with his own look, starter gift and price list. From the relationship step "Customer" a supplier introduces the next one in the chain: the contact moves into the same village - into a hut, a container store or an old trailer of his own when there is free level ground, into the village itself when there is not, so it works on SkyBlock. Asking again only tells you where he is
  • Dealers. A customer who has bought from you three times takes a burner phone - sold by suppliers from "Regular" on - and $250 to sell for you. Hand him goods; he walks up to the customers of his village who want them, sells at their price, keeps 20 percent and holds the rest as dirty cash until you collect it. With an officer within 24 blocks every sale can end in an arrest, likelier the hotter the village: the goods and the takings are gone, and he talks - for two days officers spot your goods in your pack as if you held them. Only his owner can hurt him or give him orders
  • The scale weighs four things: dried buds, dried mushrooms, cocaine and crystal, one kind at a time
  • Twelve customer looks instead of five
  • The guide grows with it: chapters on mushrooms, coca, the lab and dealers, and a comparison of all six products
  • GameTests for every station, the scale, customers, dealers, suppliers and the three hideouts (gradlew runGameTestServer)

Changed

  • Police seize what the new streettrade:contraband item tag lists - every product and everything on the way to one, never seeds, spores or chemicals - and fine each unit at its line's rate
  • Heat from a sale counts each unit at its product's rate
  • The police station is placed by the same code as the suppliers' hideouts; where and how it builds is unchanged

Also in this version

  • The Street Trade Guide. A Patchouli book in English and German: six chapters and sixteen entries, from the first free seeds to laundering what you earn, with the real numbers - what a plant yields, what customers pay, when a patrol comes, how far an officer sees and what the bank lets through. Every player gets it once on their first login; it is also in the creative tab and crafted from a book and a hemp seed. Patchouli is optional: without it the mod runs unchanged and only the book is missing
