What's new

1.1.0 - Quest Waypoints Visit objectives can now guide players directly to their destination, both on the HUD and in the world.

Waypoints

  • Added a waypoint compass at the top of the screen for the tracked quest.
  • The compass shows a rotating arrow, the objective label and the distance to the nearest unfinished Visit objective.
  • Added floating in-world markers above Visit objective locations.
  • Markers are visible through terrain and fade out with distance.
  • Each marker can show an optional vertical light beam.
  • If the objective is in another dimension, the compass shows "another dimension".
  • If the player is already inside the objective area, the compass shows "you are here".
  • Only unfinished Visit objectives of the tracked quest are shown. Manual objectives are unchanged.

Per-objective marker settings

  • Added a "Marker..." button to the Visit objective editor.
  • Show or hide the marker.
  • Toggle the light beam.
  • Choose the marker icon: checkmark, pin or star.
  • Pick a custom color with hex input and presets.
  • Set a custom label; an empty label uses the objective text.

Configuration

  • New client options: waypointsEnabled, waypointCompass, waypointCompassOffsetX, waypointCompassOffsetY, waypointBeams, waypointBeamHeight, waypointMaxDistance, waypointIconScale.

Compatibility

  • Existing quests remain compatible. Their Visit objectives receive default marker settings when loaded (gold checkmark, beam enabled); markers can be hidden or adjusted per objective.
  • Works on dedicated servers; waypoints are rendered on the client.
