Stonebound Spirit
Grow stronger through the way you play.
Stonebound Spirit adds personal progression to Minecraft through 32 passive skills, divided into Body and Spirit. Complete survival trials to develop your abilities, with the vanilla advancement screen guiding your journey.
Your character grows alongside your equipment. Skills complement your tools, weapons and armor, making everyday survival actions part of a lasting progression.
Inspiration and philosophy
Stonebound Spirit is inspired by Monk Mod and its idea of developing your character through gameplay.
My interpretation focuses on a more restrained progression. I enjoy becoming stronger while keeping tools, weapons, armor and survival mechanics useful throughout the journey.
The goal is to give overlooked parts of Minecraft renewed purpose, letting personal growth work alongside the equipment you craft and the world you explore.
Body and Spirit
Body develops your physical abilities: strength, vitality, natural armor, resilience, movement, water adaptation, breathing and more. Paxel Hands gradually turns your empty hands into useful mining tools, progressing through wood, stone and iron tiers.
Spirit improves your control, equipment mastery, craftsmanship and awareness. Develop your handling of tools and weapons, care for your equipment, strengthen your connection with animals and learn to perceive nearby threats through directional sound markers.
Each path contains four branches, with four skills per branch.
Discover your abilities
The complete skill tree contains 107 advancement nodes, including the starting node, eight branch entrances and progressive skill grades.
Before unlocking a node, you can see only its requirements and your current progress. Complete its trial to discover the effect and receive a vanilla advancement notification.
Progress comes from survival actions rather than spending experience points. Completed skills and partial trial progress persist between sessions and through death.

Optional interface improvements
I use Better Advancements for a more comfortable advancement screen and Overflowing Bars for a cleaner HUD when health and hunger exceed the vanilla limits.
Neither mod is required to use Stonebound Spirit, but they currently improve the experience. Over time, I plan to refine the mod’s own interface or introduce alternatives to these optional enhancements.
