What's new

Requires Steelo. Install both.

  • The tree has been re-shaped. Every branch is now two paths off a central core, and choosing between them is the whole point:
    • The ring holds what you actually want — raw damage, armour, movement, double drops — but has no capstone.
    • The long arm holds the situational bits, and ends in the branch's one big ability.
  • You can't buy your way to a capstone. It's gated on what you've spent on that long arm alone, so a full ring won't get you there. The filler is the price of the payoff.
  • Rings can be walked either way round — the far node opens from whichever side you take first.
  • 76 skills, up from 36.
  • Your class gets its own arm in its own colours, with four skills and an ultimate:
    • Warrior → Last Stand · Rogue → Vanish · Ranger → Hawkeye · Mage → Manaflow
    • Engineer → Overclock · Farmer → Harvest · Miner → Motherlode · Alchemist → Elixir
    • Only your own class's arm exists. Change class and it's refunded in full.
  • Skills cost what your class charges. A Warrior pays double for Mining, a Mage pays double for Fighting. Your own class arm is never surcharged, and the tree shows the price when it isn't the usual one.
  • Respec refunds what you actually paid, not what the skills would cost today — so you can't buy cheap as one class and cash out as another.
  • The Other branch's Alchemist skill is now called Herbalist, to keep it distinct from the Alchemist class.
  • Upgrading from 1.x: your invested points carry over intact — the skills just sit in new places.
