Steel is the base alloy, the foundation of almost everything. On it's own it isnt impressive...

Theres some cool building blocks tho and uhh steel armor and steel tools.

how to get it :

Simple, you take two coal, an iron ingot and put it in a crafting table and it will make coal covered iron. With this you put it in a blast furnace ( not a normal furnace it wont work ) and wait 20 seconds. After that you'll have made your first steel ingot.

The sacrificial table is an important block for your alloying journey since it's the main way to get void flames and certain artifacts.

You can right click it with sacrifice in off hand and the other item ( example : echo shard for void flames ) to sacrifice it, it will have a certain chance of succeeding and giving you the item you wanted, else it just does nothing and play an annoying sound to piss you off

How to get it :

First you need to go in an ancient city and get some echo shards, a BUNCH, sculk blocks and a shrieker. then when your finished with this get an enchant table, bunch of bones and craft this :

Sacrifice are a important item for the sacrificial table. how ? lore.

Well anyways there are 3 sacrifice, each being more expensive but have more chances succeeding in the sacrifice.

tier 1, fleshy sacrifice :

steel fusion upgrade is an important item in making stuff out of your alloys.

steel fusion upgrade recipe : 

now then to craft any item with it is very simple, go in a smithing table, put first the steel fusion upgrade, the steel equivalent of the item your tring to craft and the alloy in question. normally it should work unless it's some special item like an artifact.

Void flames is a alloy obtained with the sacrificial table, it is used for crafting void steel like this :

void steel is one of the first alloy you will do in your playtrough. it's main points are the three new items :

• Void steel sword : A sword that does diamond-netherite damage. if you right click it you can parry any attack and will get a 10 second cooldown.
• Void steel armor : If you got the full set on and get below 3 hearts, you will get the voidly effect for 20 seconds, in these 20 seconds you will get more speed and attack speed. After the 20 seconds you die, also dealing great damage to your armor. you can counter it with a totem though.
• Deep soul cleaver : Look at the next page

the first artifact you'll get. in it's original state it's just called the ruined cleaver and looks like this :

you can upgrade it like this to turn it into the artifact called the deep soul cleaver :

the deep soul cleaver deals 8 damage with 1.5 attack speed. Both cleaver deals a new effect called "corrosion" that just lower your armor and your speed, however the deep soul cleaver effect amplifier is 2 instead of 1.

to get pale steel, you'll first need to kill the wither and get the star. With this star you can make nether star shards like this : 

( you can also turn them back into a normal star )

After that you'll need to craft starstruct quartz, which is crafted like that : 

Then get even more quartz and craft the pale core :

Pale steel is an alloy made from the pale core like that :

Pale steel is basically the complete oposite of void steel. The tools made with pale steel have higher durability but lowered attack damage. Currently with pale steel you can craft two important things  :

• Pale steel sword : When right clicked, it will cast a ritual and a sphere of stars will appear. For 1 second you will be immobilized, after the 1 second every block inside will be destroyed and entities will get damaged, including you.
• Pale steel armor : If your health goes lower than 4 hearts, you will get the fortification buff. Fortification gives you more armor and attack damage stats.

Each alloy (steel, void steel and pale steel ) has every tools ( excluding the hoe ). Cool addition i think needed  a mention.

With steel, you can make steel block and bars. Steel blocks can be put into a stonecutter for 24 steel casing :
