# Steamcreate2 Mod Custom License v1.0 (2025–2026)

## 1. Scope of This License

This license applies to the **Steam Core mod as a whole**, including but not limited to:
- Custom items, blocks, mechanics, and gameplay logic
- Original code written specifically for this mod
- Custom assets created for the mod (textures, models, sounds)
- Translations and localization files included in the mod

This mod is primarily designed to be used as a **core component of the Steamcreate2 modpack**
and is guaranteed to work correctly within that environment.

## 2. Permissions

You are allowed to:
- Use the mod for **personal gameplay**
- Use the mod **as part of the official Steamcreate2 modpack**
- Create videos, streams, screenshots, and other media featuring the mod,
  including **monetized content** (YouTube, Twitch, Twitch VODs, etc.)

## 3. Redistribution

You are allowed to:
- Redistribute the **original, unmodified version** of the mod

You are **NOT allowed** to:
- Reupload the mod as a standalone download
- Rehost the mod on other platforms
- Redistribute modified versions of the mod
- Include the mod in other modpacks without explicit permission

## 4. Modifications and Derivative Works

- Any modification, fork, or derivative work of this mod
  requires **explicit permission from the author**, regardless of size or intent.

This includes:
- Code changes
- Asset edits
- Partial reuse of mechanics or systems

## 5. Use of Individual Parts (Code, Assets, Translations)

Some parts of this mod (such as translations, textures, or isolated assets)
**may be reused without attribution**, but **ONLY with explicit permission from the author**.

Without permission:
- Copying individual files or assets is **not allowed**
- Reusing translations or textures is **not allowed**
- Extracting parts of the mod for other projects is **not allowed**

Permission is granted **case-by-case**.

## 6. Commercial Use

The following is **NOT allowed** without written permission:
- Selling the mod or any part of it
- Locking the mod or its features behind paywalls
- Monetizing access to the mod itself

The following **IS allowed**:
- Monetization of videos or streams featuring the mod

## 7. Servers

- Running servers with this mod is **allowed**
  only as part of the official Steamcreate2 modpack.

- **Monetization of servers** (donations, paid access, ranks, cosmetics, etc.)
  is allowed **ONLY with explicit permission from the author**.

## 8. Third-Party Content

This mod may include:
- Translations or assets related to other mods
- Content intended for compatibility or integration

All third-party content remains the property of its respective authors
and is used under their original licenses.

This license **does not override or replace** any third-party licenses.

## 9. Attribution

Attribution is **not required** for personal use.

When permission-based reuse is granted,
attribution rules (if any) will be defined **at the time permission is given**
