What's new

StayLapis 1.1.0

Added

  • New builds: Fabric 1.19.2, Forge 1.21.1, Forge 1.21.11. They behave like the other builds of their loader.
  • Fabric 1.21.1: works with Penchant's reworked enchanting table screen. The table keeps your lapis like the vanilla one, and a book placed in its slot to remove an enchantment is never kept and always comes back to you.

Removed

  • Minecraft 26.1.1 (Fabric and NeoForge). Use the 26.1.2 files instead.

Fixed

  • NeoForge 1.21.1 and 1.21.11: the enchanting table now actually keeps your lapis. Before, it always went back to your inventory on these versions.
  • Forge: lapis in an open enchanting table is now saved every time it changes, like on Fabric and NeoForge, so a server crash while the table is open no longer loses it.
  • Fabric 1.21.1 with Penchant: the table kept nothing, and lapis stored earlier didn't show up. Fixed (see Added).
  • Two players opening the same table could both take its stored lapis. Now whoever opens it first gets the stored lapis; a player opening it at the same time sees an empty slot and gets their own lapis back on close.
  • A broken or replaced enchanting table no longer passes its old lapis to a new table placed in the same spot.
  • Breaking a table while someone has it open now returns the lapis in their slot instead of destroying it.
  • A damaged StayLapis storage file no longer breaks enchanting tables. The problem is logged, the file is left untouched, and tables in that dimension hand your lapis back instead of keeping it until the file is fixed.

Changed

  • Fabric now requires Fabric API and Architectury API; NeoForge requires Architectury API; Forge needs nothing beyond Forge.
  • Fabric 26.1.2 now requires Fabric Loader 0.19.5 or newer (Architectury API 20.1.14 crashes at startup on older loaders).
  • Each file declares its exact Minecraft version.

Unchanged

  • Worlds keep the lapis their tables already store (same staylapis/ folder and files).

Compatibility

Required on the server (or in single-player), optional on the client.

Forge (nothing else required)

  • 1.19.2: Forge 43.1.0+ (43.x)
  • 1.20.1: Forge 47.1.0+ (47.x)
  • 1.21.1: Forge 52.1.0+ (52.x)
  • 1.21.11: Forge 61.1.0+ (61.x)

NeoForge (requires Architectury API)

  • 1.21.1: NeoForge 21.1.1+ (21.1.x), Architectury API 13.0.11+ (13.x)
  • 1.21.11: NeoForge 21.11.0-beta+ (21.11.x), Architectury API 19.0.1+ (19.x)

  • 26.3: NeoForge 26.3.0.0-beta+ (below 26.4), Architectury API 22.0.1+ (22.x)

26.1.1 is replaced by 26.1.2, because Architectury API was never built for 26.1.0 or 26.1.1.

Penchant is optional. StayLapis works the same without it. Compatibility is supported only on Fabric 1.21.1 (tested with Penchant 0.3.11+mc1.21.1), not on NeoForge, Forge or other Minecraft versions.
