STAT STEALER
Every creature has something worth taking.
Stat Stealer turns every kill into a chance to permanently grow stronger.
Whenever you kill a living creature, the mod analyzes its eligible attributes and rolls one result. If the roll succeeds, you permanently steal 50% of that attribute's effective value and add it to your own accumulated power.
Health. Damage. Armor. Speed. Reach. Knockback Resistance. Luck. Modded attributes. Rare traits.
Kill enough creatures and your character can become something far beyond a normal Minecraft player.
But what you steal is determined by chance.
ATTRIBUTE STEALING
Every living entity you kill triggers an attribute roll.
The mod analyzes the victim's usable attributes and randomly selects one eligible result.
Possible attributes can include:
Max Health
Attack Damage
Armor
Armor Toughness
Movement Speed
Attack Speed
Attack Knockback
Knockback Resistance
Entity Reach
Block Reach
Step Height
Luck
Swim Speed
Compatible attributes added by other mods
Additional supported special stats
If a creature has 100 Max Health and Max Health is selected, you steal 50 Max Health.
If another creature has 40 Attack Damage and Attack Damage is selected, you steal 20 Attack Damage.
The stolen amount permanently accumulates.
Stat Stealer never replaces the player's original value. The stolen power is added on top of what the player already has.
THE GACHA
A kill does not guarantee the attribute you want.
Every eligible stat participates in a random roll.
There is also a special NO ATTRIBUTE result.
If NO ATTRIBUTE is selected, the plunder fails and no numerical attribute is stolen from that kill.
NO ATTRIBUTE has the same base weight as a normal attribute, so failure is never intentionally more likely than a standard stat result.
Some extremely common attributes can have reduced weighting.
Swim Speed, for example, has a reduced roll weight so it does not dominate the pool simply because many creatures possess it.
Every kill is another roll.
FLOATING WORLD FEEDBACK
Stat Stealer does not flood your chat every time you kill something.
Instead, the result appears temporarily in the world at the location where the creature died.
Successful rolls display the stolen attribute and amount.
Failed rolls display a red PLUNDER FAILED message.
The text floats above the death location and disappears after a short time.
PERMANENT GROWTH
Everything you successfully steal is permanently accumulated.
Your stolen power survives death, respawning, logging out, dimension changes, world reloads and server restarts.
There is no traditional leveling system.
Your progression is everything you have managed to steal.
EXACT POWER REGULATOR
Eventually, some accumulated attributes can become too powerful for comfortable gameplay.
Movement Speed is the clearest example.
After enough kills, even a tiny percentage of your complete stolen speed could become uncontrollable.
Stat Stealer solves this with an exact per-attribute Power Regulator.
Press H to open the Stat Stealer menu.
Every stolen attribute can be controlled independently.
For each attribute, the menu shows:
Normal Value
Active Value
Full Power
Instead of using percentages, you choose the exact total value you want active.
For example:
Movement Speed
Normal: 0.1000
Active: 0.2500
Full Power: 18.7352
You can keep Movement Speed at 0.2500 while simultaneously using your full Max Health, Attack Damage, Armor, Reach or any other stolen attribute.
Limiting one attribute does not reduce any other attribute.
NORMAL MODE
The Normal option returns the selected attribute to the normal reference value of a standard player.
Your stolen power is not deleted.
It remains permanently stored and can be restored whenever you want.
EXACT VALUE
You can manually enter the exact value you want active.
For example, even if your Full Power Movement Speed reaches 50.0000, you can choose to play at exactly 0.1500, 0.2500, 0.5000, 1.0000 or another value.
Everything above the chosen amount remains stored.
FULL POWER
Full Power removes your personal limiter for the selected attribute.
Full Power is dynamic.
If an attribute is set to Full Power and you later steal more of the same attribute, your active power automatically increases.
If you manually lock an attribute to an exact value, that exact limit remains even while your stored power continues growing.
RARE TRAITS
Numerical attributes are not the only things you can steal.
Some creatures possess deeper properties called Traits.
Traits are rare permanent abilities or recognition properties.
Unlike attributes, Traits do not stack.
They have no levels.
They cannot be acquired more than once.
They are not affected by the Power Regulator.
Once a Trait is acquired, it is permanently removed from that player's future Trait pool.
RECOGNITION TRAITS
Recognition Traits allow you to steal how a species recognizes members of its own kind.
One example is Zombie Kinship.
You did not merely steal the Zombie's strength.
You stole its place among the dead.
Once Zombie Kinship is acquired, compatible Zombies can recognize you as one of their own instead of naturally seeing you as prey.
Recognition can apply to groups such as:
Zombies
Skeletons
Spiders
Endermen
Piglins
Raiders
Compatible modded creatures can also participate.
Modded creatures based on supported vanilla families can automatically inherit the appropriate recognition behavior.
Completely custom hostile creatures can also receive species-level recognition through their registered Entity Type when compatible.
PROVOCATION
Recognition does not make you completely immune to a species.
Creatures that recognize you as an ally normally avoid initiating aggression.
However, attacking one of them can still provoke retaliation.
You stole their recognition.
You did not remove their ability to defend themselves.
RARE ESSENCE PLUNDER
Traits are significantly rarer than normal stat rolls.
When a Trait is acquired, a special floating message appears in the world.
Once acquired, that Trait belongs to you permanently and can never be obtained again.
MODDED ATTRIBUTE SUPPORT
Stat Stealer is designed to work with more than vanilla Minecraft attributes.
The mod dynamically analyzes attributes registered through Minecraft and Forge.
Compatible attributes added by other mods can automatically enter the stealing system.
Examples may include:
Magic Power
Spell Power
Critical Damage
Critical Chance
Mana Capacity
Energy Capacity
Resistances
Additional Reach
Custom combat attributes
Custom movement attributes
Other numerical powers
Compatibility depends on how another mod implements its systems.
Attributes exposed through the normal Minecraft and Forge Attribute system have the best chance of working automatically.
BENEFICIAL ATTRIBUTE FILTERING
Not every registered attribute represents useful power.
Some values make the player worse when increased.
Others exist only for AI, rendering or internal technical behavior.
Stat Stealer filters these values from the gacha.
Examples of properties that can be rejected include:
Gravity strength
Damage received
Vulnerability
Resource costs
Drain rates
Recoil
Exhaustion
AI follow range
Aggro range
Nametag distance
Render distance
Internal or debug attributes
The same filtering is applied to attributes added by other mods.
Stat Stealer uses a blacklist-first approach.
Compatible modded attributes are accepted unless they appear harmful, irrelevant, cosmetic, AI-only or technically unsafe.
EXTREME ATTRIBUTE GROWTH
Stat Stealer is designed around potentially enormous long-term progression.
Minecraft normally places maximum limits on several attributes.
Stat Stealer expands the usable ranges of stealable attributes so normal vanilla limits do not immediately stop progression.
For example, stolen Max Health is not intentionally restricted to Minecraft's normal 1024 HP maximum.
The goal is to allow extreme accumulated power while giving the player precise control over how much of that power is active.
MULTIPLAYER
Progression is stored individually for each player.
Different players can accumulate completely different attributes, power limits and Traits.
One player's rolls do not become another player's progression.
Permanent gameplay data and rolls are handled server-side.
CONTROLS
H opens the Stat Stealer menu.
From the menu you can:
View stolen attributes
View acquired Traits
Compare Normal, Active and Full Power values
Set exact attribute limits
Return an attribute to its normal value
Activate Full Power
The keybinding can be changed through Minecraft's Controls menu.
COMPATIBILITY
Minecraft Version: 1.20.1
Mod Loader: Forge 47.x
Java: 17
Stat Stealer is designed as a standalone mod.
No additional gameplay mod is required.
Compatibility with custom mechanics from other mods depends on how those mods implement their systems.
THE IDEA
Stat Stealer is built around one simple rule:
What made them powerful can become yours.
A Zombie may give you health.
A boss may give you enormous damage.
A strange modded creature may reveal an attribute you have never seen before.
A kill may give you nothing.
Or, very rarely, you may steal something deeper than a number and permanently change how an entire species sees you.
One kill.
One roll.
One more piece of the world becoming yours.
