Mojang Startup Sound Legacy (Cleanroom Edition)

A lightweight fork of the original Minecraft Startup Sound (aka MOJAAAAAANG) by georgetsak, updated to work properly with Minecraft 1.12.2 on Cleanroom / Java 25.

Credits

This mod is based on the original Minecraft Startup Sound (aka MOJAAAAAANG) created by georgetsak. This project is a compatibility fork focused on supporting modern Java runtimes for legacy Minecraft.

Customizing the startup sound

Changing the startup music is possible, although it is currently a manual process.

Open the mod .jar with an archive tool (mostly winrar) and navigate to:

assets/mojangstartupsound/sounds/

Replace:

mojangstartupsound.wav

with your own .wav file using the same filename.

A configuration option may be added in a future version, but there are currently no plans for it.

Recommended

For the best experience, I recommend using this mod together with Custom Loading Screen for Minecraft 1.12.2.
