v1.5.0 - The Mystical Summon & Stability Update
🔮 The Bone Whistle Rework (Unloaded Chunk Fix)
-
Mystical Summoning: You no longer have to wait a full Minecraft day for an abandoned Alpha to return, nor do you have to hike back to printed GPS coordinates! If your Alpha is trapped in an unloaded chunk or another dimension, using the Bone Whistle will now instantly pull its data from your player file and summon it directly to your side as a Wandering Spirit.
-
No Penalty Summon: Because you are actively summoning it to save it from being lost (rather than it dying in combat), this specific whistle summon preserves your Alpha's exact Level and EXP without any death penalties.
-
The "Clone Assassination" System: To make the summon work without duplicating wolves, the mod now uses a dynamic ID system. The Whistle generates a new active clone at your side with a new ID. If you ever walk back to the old unloaded chunk weeks later, the old frozen Alpha will wake up, realize its ID is obsolete, and instantly delete itself!
🛡️ Server Desync & Stability Fixes
-
Auto-Cleanup on Login: Fixed a critical bug where server crashes would cause the game to "forget" you already had a starter wolf, spawning duplicates. Now, the exact second you log in, the game silently scans a massive 128-block radius. If it finds duplicate Alphas, it intelligently keeps the highest-level one and deletes the clones.
-
Death & Dimension Memory: Fixed an issue where the player dying or walking through a Nether portal would wipe their Alpha's GPS tracking and active memory. Your data is now perfectly transferred to your new body when you respawn.
-
Server Sweep Command: Added a new admin command (
/starterwolf cleanup_alphas). Running this will scan the entire server's active memory and purge any duplicate Alphas belonging to the same player (keeping only their strongest one).
⚖️ Stat Balancing & QoL
-
Vanilla Base Stat Unification: Fixed a hidden Vanilla Minecraft bug where manually tamed wolves were getting a hidden 40 HP buff, while the custom-spawned Alpha was stuck at 20 HP. Both Alphas and Warriors now strictly start with the modern standard 40 Base Health and 4.0 Base Attack. (Note: Warriors still only receive 50% of the bonus stats upon leveling up to maintain pack hierarchy).
-
Personalized First Spawns: When a player joins the server for the very first time, their Alpha will automatically spawn with a personalized name tag (e.g., Jefrey's Pal Wolf).
