Description
Starships
Build a starship block by block, bring it to life, and fly it across a galaxy generated from your world seed.
Starships is a Fabric mod for Minecraft 26.2. You design your ship however you like, wire up its systems, press Build Ship, and the whole thing becomes one moving vessel. You can walk around inside it while it flies, fight from it, land it on alien worlds and warp it to other stars.
π Build your own ship
- Any shape, any size. Build the hull from metal hull blocks: plain, reinforced, coloured, stairs, slabs and reinforced glass. Decorate the inside however you want.
- Real ship systems. Every ship needs:
- a Power Core: Fusion, Matter-Antimatter or Quantum Singularity
- a Computer Core to split power between systems
- Sublight Engines, placed symmetrically
- Warp Nacelles, which must be perfect circles of any size
- Life Support
- Cable it all together with power cables. Cables can be disguised as any block, so your walls stay clean.
- Airtight hull. The ship has to be fully sealed. The Central Console checks your design and tells you exactly what's missing, where the leaks are, and when the ship is ready to fly.
π°οΈ Fly it
- Press Build Ship and the whole structure lifts off as a single vessel. Players and mobs aboard are carried along.
- Plot a course on the Plotting Console using global, relative or compass-bearing coordinates. The ship turns to its heading, flies there, and lands on whole blocks.
- Seats for the crew, and computer-styled consoles with animated screens.
π A whole galaxy, from your seed
- Every world gets its own spiral galaxy of over 3,000 star systems. The Solar System and Alpha Centauri are in there too.
- Every rocky planet can be landed on. There are deserts, dune seas, frozen worlds, volcanic hellscapes, oceans, toxic and metallic planets, each with its own gravity.
- Gas giants with rings, stars of every class from blue giants to white dwarfs, and an asteroid belt to mine.
- A galaxy map shows your ship's warp range. Add more warp field generators and amplifiers to jump further.
- Fly too close to a star and your ship burns up.
π§βπ Survive out there
- No world beyond Earth has breathable air. Wear a Surface Suit or a thruster-equipped Space Suit, and keep an eye on your oxygen.
- Space is zero-g. Install an Artificial Gravity Generator if you'd like to stay on the floor.
- Life Support makes the inside of your ship breathable.
βοΈ Optional systems
- Weapons: Ion Cannons, Lasers and Photon Torpedoes, controlled from a Tactical Console. They only target other players' ships.
- Shields and a Cloaking Device
- Shuttles and fighters with full 3D flight. You can launch them from your mothership and dock them back aboard mid-flight, and land them on planets.
- Tractor Beam for pulling in asteroids, plus a Cutting Beam for mining
- Transporter Pad for beaming down to a planet's surface
- Force-field hangar doors
- Hand Lasers and Antimatter Charges
βοΈ Science-based progression
- New ores: bauxite, ilmenite, columbite and monazite.
- Some resources only exist off-world, such as helium-3 on the Moon, Martian ice and osmiridium.
- New machines: Electrolyzer, Arc Furnace, Casimir Cavity, Combustion Generator and Solar Panels.
- Make fuel for your reactor: Deuterium Cells, and Antimatter Pods that you charge in orbit.
Tip: with cheats on, type /starships sample to get a fully working example ship in front of you.
