A superhero mod for Minecraft Forge 1.20.1

Long ago the Ancient Star shattered, and its shards rained across the world.
Each shard grants a different power to whoever finds it.

Starshard Heroes adds 39 original heroes, each with their own 3D gear, a passive power,
up to six abilities, custom sounds, animations and a story. Find a shard, become a hero, and decide what kind of hero you will be.

• Dynamo Mark III, IV and V: a deep-sea diving suit, a stealth suit and the giant Basaltbuster.
• New heroes: Maw, Haunt, Keeper, Somnus and the ring-bearer Vow.
• Flare reworked: she now absorbs hits as solar energy, with three new abilities.
• New controls: F / H / C second abilities replace the old Shift combos; six Hero Panel layouts on U.
• Hero Mannequin, JEI / EMI support, and a much longer-lasting Dynamo battery.

Three of them are shardless humans who fight with skill and gear alone. One of them, Vow, cannot be crafted: its ring is found only in the rarest Star Ruin chests, and once it chooses you, it only leaves your finger when you die.

Dynamo builds a different suit for every job. Each Mark is its own core with its own look, flight style and abilities.
Store up to five cores in the Dynamo Bracelet and call any of them down from the sky.

Every key can be changed in Options → Controls → Starshard Heroes.

1. Find a Star Ruin. They appear in every biome. Mine the Starshard Crystals and loot the chests.
2. Build the Star Forge. It is where hero gear is made, and it has a built-in recipe browser.
3. Read the Hero Guide. You get it on your first join (or with /hero guide). It shows every hero, ability and recipe.
4. Pick your hero. Wear or hold their gear, and watch the Hero Panel for cooldowns and energy.

Commands (operators): /hero give <hero>  •  /hero equip <hero> [player]  •  /hero reset [player]  •  /hero guide [player]

• Rift's dimensions: Prison, Maze, Passage (1 block = 64 in the world) and a floating Sanctuary with six gates.
• Hero Mannequin: an armor stand made for heroes. It wears any hero's gear, glows like the real thing and holds poses.
• Necklace slot in the inventory for amulets, rings and bracelets, plus a Display Pedestal for your gear.
• Advancements for every hero, and Legacy of the Star for those who wield them all.

Starshard Heroes must be installed on both the client and the server. Server owners can tune it in serverconfig/kahramanmod-server.toml:

• Ability damage and cooldown multipliers
• PvP on/off for hero abilities, and block damage on/off
• Turn individual heroes on or off
• Per-hero settings such as recharge rates, durations and ranges

JEI and EMI show all Star Forge recipes and info pages for special items.

Fabric or NeoForge?
Not at the moment. The mod is made for Forge 1.20.1.

Can I use it in a modpack?
Yes, as long as the pack is published on CurseForge.

Will heroes destroy my base on a server?
Only if you allow it. Set block damage to false in the server config and abilities will only hurt creatures.

Is PvP fair?
Ability damage is reduced by armor like any other hit, every hero has a power tier, and abilities are tuned so they don't one-shot armored players.

I found a bug or have an idea.
Leave a comment on this page with your Minecraft version, mod version and what happened. Crash logs help a lot.
