Star Festival fills the night sky with cosmic events worth staying up for: Star Bits raining down to be caught, a giant comet drifting across the stars, meteor showers, fireballs and shooting stars. Everything is drawn right in vanilla's own sky, with no shaders needed, and every sound was made just for this mod.

| Giant Comet | About 20% of nights | The Wanderer arrives with a flash and a shimmering chord, then drifts across the sky for four minutes, its long tails full of glitter. Blue, emerald or violet. |
| Meteor Shower | About 30% of nights | Three minutes of meteors streaking out of one glowing point in the sky, building up to a meteor storm, in classic, dreamlike or ember colors. |
| Fireball | About 70% of nights | A big, colored fireball that flares and bursts into sparks. |
| Shooting Stars | Every night | Soft streaks of light, now and then. |
Events happen only at night while someone is out under the open sky (not underground), and everyone on a server sees the same show.
⭐ Catching Star Bits
You can watch every Star Bit come down from the sky. A glowing target appears where it will land; it touches down with a starburst, shockwave rings and a rising chime, bounces, cools to its own color, and a soft beam of light marks the spot so you can find it. Every Star Bit that lands leaves exactly one Star Bit, in one of eight colors, and the ground is never broken.
📖 The Star Storybook
Every player gets the Star Storybook on their first join: a big hardcover book of moving pixel-art pictures. It tells the story of Princess Wren, who counted the stars from her little castle by the lake and wished they would come down to visit. Every cosmic event has its own chapter and field guide, and when Wren's story ends, it carries on with you.
While it's open, a music box plays Wren's Lullaby: three original tunes that follow the story, from counting the stars, to the festival, to goodnight. It plays on the master volume, so you'll hear it even with the music slider turned off.

Every sound in Star Festival, from the Star Bits' glimmer to the comet's chord to the lullaby, was made for this mod.
⚙️ Commands and game rules
Operators can start an event at any time:
/starfestival start <fireball | meteor_shower | great_comet | star_bit_comets>/starfestival land [pos] [color]drops a Star Bit/starfestival statusand/starfestival stop
Game rules: star_festival:natural_events (events happen on their own), star_festival:star_bit_comet_chance (the chance of Star Bit Rain each night, 8% by default) and star_festival:give_storybook (the storybook on first join).
