StalkerWolf Neoforge Version 1.21.1-2.3.2
Curse Maven Snippet
What's new
StalkerWolf / Hollowfang — Complete Update History These updates expand the mod with persistent horror hunts, Hollowfang encounters, custom equipment and resources, progression, animated models, and bonded companions. Current requirements: Minecraft Java 1.21.1, NeoForge 21.1.255, Java 21, and compatible GeckoLib for NeoForge 1.21.1.
2.0.0 — Hunt and Hollowfang overhaul
- Expanded encounters with stalking, watching, circling, pursuit, and escape behavior.
- Added persistent hunt ownership tied to player UUIDs. Hunters remember their assigned player across saves and chunk unloading, with protection against duplicate assigned hunters.
- Added Hollowfang, the corrupted variant with bone horns, elongated limbs, violet glow, and a warned pounce.
- Added private hunt atmosphere: fog, progressive darkness, misleading sounds, heartbeats, and rare harmless silhouettes.
- Included DON’T. RUN.2 and It Knows You’re Here as streaming hunt music, with variant transitions and fade-outs.
- Added server settings for atmosphere, encounter timing, cooldowns, and optional weak-block destruction.
- Added escape cooldowns and hunt suspension when the target logs out, dies, or changes dimensions.
- Updated the Worn Book of Shadows while retaining existing charms, Mark of Prey, pelts, Echo Fang, Hush Bell, and taming restrictions.
2.0.1 — NeoForge migration
- Migrated the mod from Forge to NeoForge for Minecraft 1.21.1.
- Updated loader metadata, dependencies, event hooks, networking, and build configuration.
- Preserved hunts, music, ownership, and progression during the migration. 2.1.0 — Survival items, exploration, and progression
- Added the Pelt Cloak, wearable chest equipment with a rendered fur cape. Crouching at a distance slows your hunter’s stalking timer.
- Added the throwable Scent Decoy. Hunters investigate the bait and learn to ignore repeated attempts.
- Added the Resonant Hush Bell, offering greater range and longer disruption. Bells have animated poses, visible pulses, and a shared cooldown.
- Added the Ward Lantern, fueled with Echo Shards to discourage natural Hollowfang encounters.
- Added Hollow Hearts, Bone Crown trophies, Shrine Altars, and Cleansing Offerings.
- Added forest and taiga shrines containing clues and occasional supplies.
- Added a cleansing ritual: survive near an altar at night against an ambush Hollowfang to remove the Mark of Prey and reset its death counter.
- Expanded the journal to six discoverable chapters and added eight advancements.
- Added standard, watcher, circling, and ambush encounter styles.
- Improved charm ownership and protection tooltips.
- Added client comfort settings for darkness, fog, music, heartbeats, silhouettes, and bell particles.
- Added operator commands for hunts, status, test kits, marks, journal unlocks, and shrine placement. Every command requires OP permission level 2 or higher.
2.1.1 — Music discs and volume controls
- Added playable music discs for both supplied tracks.
- Added the discs and a jukebox to the creative tab and operator kit.
- Connected disc playback to the Jukebox/Note Blocks volume slider.
- Connected hunt music, heartbeats, misleading sounds, and wolf sounds to Master volume.
- Updated related comfort settings and tooltips.
2.2.0 — Custom artwork, hunt AI, and hitboxes
- Replaced existing mod item artwork with custom 64×64 textures.
- Added custom designs for discs, the original spawn egg, materials, bells, lantern, altar, crown, and cloak.
- Improved StalkerWolf’s appearance with fur, shaped paws, ivory claws and fangs, a defined muzzle, and glowing red eyes.
- Fixed command hunts ending after roughly five to six seconds while the wolf continued wandering.
- Command hunts now continue through daylight, wards, and normal retreat timers until stopped. Natural encounters retain their withdrawal behavior.
- Improved target handling so rejecting a bystander does not clear the assigned player.
- Enabled creative players to test pursuit and atmosphere.
- Corrected both variants’ hitboxes and eye heights, including variant changes, saving/loading, age scaling, and Minecraft’s Scale attribute.
- Added command controls for switching between stalking and pursuit.
2.3.0 — Animated wolves, equipment, and rare ores
- Rebuilt both wolf models with articulated ears, jaws, tails, paws, and claws.
- StalkerWolf gained a layered mane. Hollowfang gained segmented horns, exposed ribs and spines, talons, and a violet heart.
- Added 17 animations per variant, covering breathing, listening, movement, attacks, howls, lunge warnings, flight, recovery, bell disruption, hurt, death, and sitting.
- Added a warned StalkerWolf lunge and improved Hollowfang’s pounce.
- Added Hollowfang rage below 35% health, increasing speed and damage and shortening pounce timing. Healing clears rage.
- Improved attack contact checks, line of sight, recovery, bell interruption, and death-state cleanup.
- Corrected health and armor balance.
- Added Wardbound helmet, chestplate, leggings, and boots, with custom equipped models and inventory artwork.
- Each armor piece provides 5% hunter damage reduction. The complete set provides 30% total reduction and halves bite/pounce debuff duration.
- Added a Wardbound sword, axe, pickaxe, shovel, and hoe.
- The sword and axe deal 25% extra melee damage to untamed hunters. Tools provide diamond-level harvesting.
- Added Dusksteel Ore, Echo Crystal Ore, and their deepslate variants, with custom drops, experience, Fortune, and Silk Touch support.
- Added Raw Dusksteel, Dusksteel Ingots, Echo Crystals, and Wardbound Ingots, plus crafting, refining, and repair recipes.
- Dusksteel generates at Y −56 to 16; Echo Crystal generates at Y −60 to −24. Both require iron or better.
- Added /stalkerwolf gear and expanded the operator kit with equipment, resources, and ore samples.
2.3.1 — Twinbound Charm, companions, and Hollowfang egg
- Added the reusable Twinbound Charm, restricted to the actual UUIDs of RealWolfBoy25022 and PhoenixCrew2025.
- Shift-right-click switches between ending your own loaded active hunt and taming a StalkerWolf or Hollowfang.
- The selected mode saves with the item, and it works in either hand.
- Added one bonded hunter companion per authorized account, including while its chunk is unloaded.
- Companions preserve their owner and variant, sit or follow with empty-hand right-click, defend their owner, heal with meat, and remain in Peaceful difficulty.
- Prevented stealing another player’s companion. A companion’s death frees the bond for a replacement.
- Added a custom Hollowfang Spawn Egg supporting placement, liquid spawning, dispensers, and mob spawners.
- Updated creative pick-block to return the correct egg for each variant.
- Added custom charm and egg textures, a charm recipe, and creative-tab/operator-kit entries.
2.3.2 — Equipped armor redesign
- Rebuilt worn Wardbound armor to match its inventory artwork.
- Added a shaped wolf mask, ivory brows and fangs, eye slits, layered shoulders, fur details, raised bone ribs, and violet crystals.
- Added separate hip and thigh plates, knee guards, fitted gauntlets, and clawed boots.
- Added matching back details and corrected coverage over player skin layers.
- Reworked the 64×64 equipped armor textures with separate metal, bone, fur, and crystal materials.
