Update 1.5.0

Minecraft 1.20.1 · Forge. Requires GeckoLib 4.4 or newer — install it separately.

A large step beyond 1.4.5. New figures, a rebuilt Bedrock Error dimension, a threat compass, more lore, a tighter horror interface, and work on stability so the fear holds together instead of coming apart.

New Entities

A Clone may appear when sanity is already low: your own shape, standing with its back to you, glitching, vanishing, screaming, or stepping out behind you. A rarer wanderer walks the world like another player — tools, trees, crafting — and wears a nametag.

In Bedrock Error, rAdiO waits: a very tall black figure. Distant static while it still watches; number-station noise when it runs. It does not die, will not sit in a boat, and if it lands the last hit the death is silent — a black screen — then it is gone. If the chase stalls, it leaves.

Bedrock Error

The forest is wider now. Charred blood oak can be cut and crafted like ordinary oak. The ground is stained; the trails run farther.

Radio masts rise from custom metal and lattice, with rotating sirens and steps you can climb. Sound comes from the speaker — break it, and the broadcast dies. Some masts are already down.

Clearings hold ruined houses: two-storey wrecks, sheds, wells, paths that end in log and metal. Mostly the mod’s own blocks; vanilla chests and furnaces remain.

A visit lasts about fifteen to twenty minutes. The first stretch is watchers only. rAdiO may arrive after a few minutes. The kicker is rare, and not at the start. Stalker, siren, and overworld events stay out of Bedrock and the Labyrinth. Ambient music waits after you enter, and returns slowly after the radios instead of cutting back in. Third-person is locked here, and in the flat world.

Compass.sanity

A new instrument that leans toward nearby horror. The needle moves only when something is actually close.

Crafted from iron, gold, redstone, and a Soul of Fear — dropped by Schizophrenia. A field manual is given at the start of a world; the book explains the craft and how the compass is meant to be read.

Labyrinth

The way out is no longer a cube. A bright white orb turns slowly in the room, drips blood, and lights the dark. Break it, and nothing falls.

Sanity still drops on the way in and is restored on the way out. Chests always hold sixteen torches. The evacuation notebook appears once per world, not every visit. Leaving is safer — you are not dropped inside a block — and the click no longer fights the server.

Lore and Interface

New notes can be found in the world, and rarely in Bedrock tower chests: evacuation orders, broadcast transcripts, the field manual, and other fragments. A tower chest is uncommon; the compass itself is rarer still.

Books and notes no longer open as vanilla pages. Layouts, type, and buttons follow the same horror register as the rest of the mod. The medical handbook, the notes, and the HUD follow the language of the game. Many more languages are covered, including Hebrew, Japanese, Chinese, and regional variants; long lines stay inside the page.

Health and hunger are drawn in the mod’s own style, including hardcore hearts. Hunger empties as vanilla does. The death screen and pause buttons match. Sanity icons sit cleanly even when the number is three digits.

Stability

The server is lighter under load. Bedrock visits no longer share a seed between players. Dying in the Labyrinth no longer restores the sanity you had before you entered, and no longer erases the death penalty. Sleeplessness and insomnia now survive a relog.

Sad Shadow glitches when watched from far away, holds still until you close in, and no longer leaves its death sound hanging in the air. The ordinary Clone has no nametag, will not take a boat, faces correctly, does not walk on air; scream and laugh events are cleaned up. rAdiO no longer jitters on red clearings, and can break trees and rust in Bedrock.

The creative search bar no longer draws a broken dark panel. EyeError323 is gone. The old watcher kick that reached outside the game is gone — what remains stays inside Minecraft.
