Stadtleben is a NeoForge mod for Minecraft 1.21.1 that turns your world into a living town simulation.
You found a town, survey plots and pave streets. Houses get real addresses, and you can set up public buildings like the town hall, post office, police, school and business office. NPC citizens move in, rent or buy homes, pay rent and taxes, and go about a real daily routine: they sleep in their beds at night and go to work during the day. In the evening they shop at counters.
Everything runs on jobs and real work. Postmen deliver letters to mailboxes, and cooks bake bread from wheat. Farmers walk the fields to harvest and replant, and livestock keepers shear, feed, breed and slaughter animals. Warehouse workers stock the shelves.
Citizens start their own businesses based on supply and demand, such as bakeries, butchers, farms, ranches and wholesalers. They hire staff and build supply chains from field to kitchen to shop. A central market supplies whatever the town can’t produce itself.
As mayor you manage the town treasury, job applications, business licenses and rental requests, and you handle it all through menus and mail rather than chat commands.
