squishlings-1.20.1-1.9.0.jar
Curse Maven Snippet
What's new
Squishlings 1.9.0 - The Big Cosy Update
(everything new since 1.4.0: petting, sleeping, hats, gardens,
living expressions and garden helpers)
=== PETTING (BOOP!) ===
- Right-click a tamed Squishling while holding a FEATHER to boop it. It
squishes down, bounces back, looks happy for a few seconds and shows
hearts. The feather isn't used up.
- Anyone can boop any tamed Squishling (a server can make it owner-only).
Wild Squishlings can't be booped. A boop changes nothing else.
- Advancement: "Boop!"
=== SLEEPING ===
- A tamed Squishling in Sit mode falls asleep at night (and in
thunderstorms). It curls up into a cosy blob with a sleeping face and
little floating "z"s.
- Sit it on a bed (any colour, modded beds too) and it flops into the
mattress, all flat and snug.
- It wakes at sunrise, when you change its mode or pick it up, when you
splash it with a water bucket, or when something hurts it.
- Sleeping slowly heals it: half a heart every 10 seconds.
- Boop a sleeping Squishling and it gives a tiny happy wiggle and keeps
sleeping.
- No sleeping in the Nether or the End, in water or lava, or on fire.
- Advancements: "Sweet Dreams" and "Snug as a Slime".
=== HATS ===
- Right-click your tamed Squishling with a hat item to put it on; hats
swap and you get the old one back.
- Hats: carved pumpkin, jack o'lantern, mob and player heads, flower pot,
cake, melon - and a white carpet makes a little beret.
- Crouch + right-click with shears takes the hat off.
- Advancement: "Dress Up".
=== THE GARDEN SLIME ===
- Right-click with a soil block (dirt, grass block, coarse dirt, podzol,
rooted dirt, mud, moss block or mycelium) to put a little patch of soil
on top of your Squishling, then plant up to 3 tiny plants on it
(flowers, saplings, ferns, grass, mushrooms, azaleas, dead bush).
- Bone meal on a grass-block patch makes a random flower pop up.
- Shears take the plants off one at a time, then the soil. You always get
your items back, and everything drops if your Squishling dies.
- Advancement: "Walking Garden".
=== LIVING EXPRESSIONS ===
- Squishlings blink, and their eyes follow their owner (or the nearest
player). They lean a tiny bit toward you.
- Squash and stretch: the jelly squishes when landing, stretches when
jumping and wobbles back into shape.
- Idle tamed Squishlings fidget: they look around, wiggle, stretch tall,
do tiny hops or yawn.
- Every Squishling has a little personality - bouncy, shy, curious or
sleepy. Shy ones peek away from strangers, sleepy ones yawn a lot.
Personality never changes stats.
- Reactions:
- Hold a vegetable nearby and it begs with sparkly eyes and bounces
(wild babies beg too).
- An ouch face when hit, a worried face with sweat drops at low health.
- Trembles and whimpers in thunderstorms.
- Puffs up and looks alert when a monster is near.
- A happy hop and wiggle when you come back after being away.
- Content in the rain, relaxed bobbing in water, a surprised face when
falling.
- 7 new faces: ouch, scared, alert, begging, surprised, content, yawn.
- All of this is visual only and shows on your own screen; nothing about
how Squishlings behave or what they save is changed.
=== GARDEN HELPERS ===
- Sit your tamed Squishling next to your crops and give it a drink by
right-clicking it with a water bucket. Each bucket gives 15 minutes of
water (it holds up to 60); the action bar shows how much is left.
- While it sits there with water, plants within a 9 x 9 area (one block
below it to two above) grow about 10% faster: +5% while it is happy,
+5% if it has a garden on its back, never more than 20%.
- It keeps helping while it sleeps. Water is only used when there are
plants to help.
- Works on wheat, carrots, potatoes, beetroot, melons, pumpkins, saplings,
sweet berries, cocoa, nether wart, sugar cane, cactus, bamboo, glow
berries, kelp - and crops from other mods.
- Several Squishlings on one field don't stack: each plant is helped by
one Squishling only.
- A ring of water drips shows the area after watering; green sparkles pop
over plants it helps.
- New faces: a happy "tending" face while it helps, and a thirsty face
(tongue out!) when it sits near plants without water.
- Growth follows each plant's normal rules, so seasons mods like Serene
Seasons still decide what can grow.
- The water bucket still makes your Squishling bloat and leak like before.
- Advancement: "Green Thumb".
=== FIXES ===
- The little garden now sits right in the middle of your Squishling's top
instead of toward the back.
