Spotify inside of Minecraft for Forge !

SpoticraftContinued

SpoticraftContinued is a modern continuation and Forge port of the original Spoticraft mod for Minecraft 1.20.1. It integrates Spotify directly into Minecraft, displaying toast notifications and in-game HUD alerts whenever your track changes, complete with full album artwork support.

Features

  • Now Playing Alerts: Real-time in-game notifications displaying track title, artist, and album cover art.
  • Safe & Compliant OAuth2: Connects through official Spotify Web API OAuth authentication in your default browser. No sketchy token grabbers or memory hooks.
  • Standalone Installation: All required network and JSON libraries are bundled directly into the mod JAR, meaning no extra library mods are required.
  • Clean Linux, macOS & Windows Support: Opens the authentication window in your native system browser, eliminating legacy native WebKit/GTK crashes.

Important Requirements

  1. Spotify Developer Account: You will need to create a free application in the Spotify Developer Dashboard to get your own Client ID and Client Secret.
  2. Spotify Premium: Due to Spotify's updated Web API developer policy, endpoints that monitor playback state (/v1/me/player/*) strictly require an active Spotify Premium subscription on the app owner's account.

Quick Setup (First Launch Only)

  1. Go to the Spotify Developer Dashboard and click Create App.
  2. Set the Redirect URI to: http://127.0.0.1:23435/callback
  3. Launch Minecraft with SpoticraftContinued installed. Your web browser will automatically open the local setup page.
  4. Copy your Client ID and Client Secret from the Spotify Dashboard into the setup page, click Submit, and authorize the app.
  5. Return to Minecraft, play a track on Spotify, and enjoy!
