Purpose of mod:
During winter, most biomes affected by Serene Seasons are treated as cold biomes by Spore’s spawn-condition logic. This lets Spore use its own built-in cold behavior to react to winter seasons. All effects that apply to cold spore entities are applied during winter months, such as: higher starving rates, disabled spawns on the surface, inability to spawn a Scent on death, Spore Mobs will visibly shiver, and all other expected features of cold biomes within the Spore Mod. The Main goal of this compatibility bridge was to provide a seasons cycle to the mechanics of the spore mod. This facilitates safer exploration during the winter months and offers a break from the growing spread and dangers of the fungal infection.
Things to consider:
This compatibility bridge was made for SereneSeasons-forge-1.20.1-9.1.0.2 and Spore_2.2.0f_1.20.1, It has not been tested on newer or older versions of either mod. However, this compatibility bridge only targets the cold biome detection from Spore and activates it during Serene Seasons Winters, so it might still work the same in newer versions of the mods. An important thing to note is that Spore mobs still spawn normally during the winter while inside biomes that aren't affected by Serene Seasons winters. Within default Serene Seasons those biomes are jungles and deserts.
Important Notice:
This compatibility bridge was put together with very little comprehension on java. A majority of code for the bridge was written by AI and tweaked by me following youtube tutorials. As this is my first modding project within minecraft I'm sure there are bound to be bugs.
