Spirits & Darkness

This mod focuses mainly on the exploration aspect of the game, but adding a darker, horror twist to it.

Overworld:

In the Overworld dimension you can find 4 new biomes and a couple of new structures:

Steppe: the steppe is kinda like a plains biome, but with a colder weather and often near the sea. In this biome you can find a lichen layer on top of the grass, majestic stone arches and a new procedural structure, the steppe village. This new type of villages are characterized by a more viking influenced architecture.
Redwood Forest: taking a big leap from the windswept plains, the redwood forest is notably different, with a dense vegetation composed of Redwood Trees, from which you can obtain the respective woodset.
Gravelly Hills: these hills are inspired by the Baltic mountains, rocky and cold. The only creatures you'll find living here are goats and llamas.
Ancient Grove: an antique forest, characterized by old, magic trees and it's old inhabitants.

Ancient Grove:

If you are lucky enough to find an Ancient Grove, you'll soon realise you're just at the tip of the iceberg:

the spirits which inhabit this areas are vengeful and full of rage and if you try and fight them they'll only get angrier. The only real way to kill as many spirits as needed to evoke their leader is to fight back with their same anger, by crafting a Rage Potion. To create this powerful mixture you'll need to encapsule a wandering spirit and brew his soul with the shards of those who you reaped.

These souls will also turn out useful in crafting the new Soul Resonator, a powerful item that'll reveal you the way to follow to reach the Underworld.

The Underworld:

This plain of existence is the product of those who wanted immortality: to access it you'll need to wander through an underground maze of stone rooms and finally find the gate.

Once you'll jump through, It isn't guaranteed you'll ever come back.

To not spoil the whole experience I'll just tell you: come equipped, heavily, you'll need to travel a lot and fight to death, so be prepared.
