Description
Art used for the current project icon (October 21st, 2025 - Present) belongs to "DR", posted to Amino Apps and found through Google Search.
"Specters," the mod's equivalent of Ghosts from Destiny, can be crafted as Condensed Specter items with Specter Cores (found in Jungle Pyramids and Desert Temples), Copper Ingots, and wool of your choice. Right-clicking with a Condensed Specter item in hand will summon the Specter into the world. (This will be re-worked in future updates)
Specters prevent the player from dying (under most circumstances), and are quick to heal the player if their health is too far below full.
Updates are planned! Please leave a comment with any suggestions!
1.1.0 added dyeing the Condensed Specter item more colors, Monsters spawning with Specters attached after day 10 (this might be removed, or disabled by default in config), and overhauled the recipes/items in general. Btw, you can also rename the Condensed Specter item in an anvil to give your Specter a custom name
Some ideas I'm playing around with right now:
- Different tiers based on crafting ingredients (iron/diamond/etc.)
- Healing scales directly with tier
- Cooldown after preventing player death
- Only attackable with projectiles? And re-do some targeting (like Hoglins)
- Keybind to summon/dismiss your Specter? (should only 1 be allowed?)
- Personalities!
- Overhauled crafting (Resonance + ForgeEnergy/FE ?)
- Fragmented Datapad (lore/tutorials built-in)
- Retrocausality Engine (produces Resonance)
- Specter Resonator (consumes Resonance), attunes Inert Specter Core -> Specter Core
- Shell Fabricator (consumes FE), produces Specter Shells (optional customization)
- Specter Core/Shell/Shield Augmentation
- Shield Harmonizer, resonate with internal Shield Module to align to protective frequency
- Specter Synthesis (consumes Resonance+FE), combines Specter Core with Specter Shell to form new Condensed Specter Item / Specter owned by player
Implementation Phases?
