Special Items is a Minecraft mod focused on adding unique tools, weapons and utility items with special abilities that change the way you play.
Instead of simply adding stronger versions of vanilla equipment, every item in the mod is designed to have its own useful mechanic.
The first item introduced is the Excavator Hammer, a powerful heavy mining tool designed for large excavation projects.
Excavator Hammer
The Excavator Hammer can break a 4×4 area of blocks at once, allowing you to dig tunnels, clear large areas and mine much faster than with a normal pickaxe.
The mining area automatically changes depending on the direction you are facing, so the hammer can excavate:
- 4×4 areas on walls
- 4×4 areas on floors
- 4×4 areas on ceilings
Blocks broken by the hammer also drop their items, making it useful for normal survival mining rather than simply deleting blocks.
Future Updates
This is only the first version of Special Items.
More special tools, weapons and utility items are planned for future updates, each with its own ability and gameplay mechanic.
Future versions may include new mining tools, special weapons, movement items, utility equipment and other unusual items designed to make Minecraft more fun.
